I loved the movie I laughed, cried and cried some more.
posted by yoshibear24 on Oct 15, 2012 09:17:19Never saw the original version. Watched it on tonight on Lifetime and was blown away. I am M'Lynn and my daughter is Shelby. My daughter is a brittle diabetic, strong-willed and defiant as Shelby. I realized while watching SM that maybe my daughter needs that 30 minutes of "wonderful". She has been sick since age 11 and often hospitalized. Now, a few days shy of age 21, she is seeking "wonderful". I have ALWAYS opposed her when I felt is was not the best for her. Queen Latifih's M'Lynn opened my eyes. I need to be supportive of her needs and not my own, the fear of loosing my only daughter.
