'Tropic Thunder' Reigns Supreme Twice in a Row

Being the summer movie that dethroned "" after it dominated the revenue chart for four weeks last weekend, the DreamWorks Pictures' flick collects $16.3 million to add to the total of $65.8 million.

Though its sales dropped 37%, the hilarious film about a group of actors stuck in a real war-like situation when filming a Vietnam War movie is still left untouched by its two new competitors, "" and "". Commenting on the success, Media By Numbers' president Paul Dergarabedian says, "It's a really funny film. The word of mouth has been incredibly strong. Hollywood Embraces 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars' Premiere

Known to be a place to catch a glimpse of celebrities, Hollywood has been turned to be a spot to see Clone Troopers and another "Star Wars" character, Ahsoka Tano, on Sunday, August 10, evening. Celebrating the U.S. premiere of "", the unique trio posed on the red carpet at Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, California.

Aside from those characters, the special screening event was also attended by most of the animated film's cast, including Matt Lanter, Ashley Eckstein, James Arnold Taylor, Catherine Taber and Ian Abercrombie, and the filmmakers, such as Dave Filoni and creator George Lucas. The premiere also saw many celebrity guests from actors, like , and Ahmed Best, to renowned filmmakers, such as J.J. Abrams and Keenen Ivory Wayans.

In preparation to the theatrical release of "Star Wars" animated movie, "", Lucasfilm Animation have brought forward a brand new featurette. Highlighting a part of the film's title, the featurette is focused on things related to the troops involved in the intergalactic wars, the Clones.

Providing explanation from where the idea of the Clones' designs come from, the featurette underlines elaborated description given by director Dave Filoni regarding the generally black and white troops. Through the video footages, Filoni also gives out reasons on why the CGI animated movie will show the characters behind the masked Clones. He also illustrates the dynamic between the Jedis and the Clones.

Walt Disney World Resort to Present Sneak Peek Into 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars'

In the celebration of "" upcoming release, Lucasfilm Animation have let out announcement that the studio will preview sneak peeks of the "Star Wars" animation movie during "Star Wars Weekends". The various inside look into the epic saga will be shown every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from June 6 to June 29, 2008 at Disney's Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort.

One of the sneak peeks previewed will be entitled "Behind the Force - Experience THE CLONE WARS" which will bring fans closer to the creation behind the animation movie. It is further explained that during the presentation of "Behind the Force", an exclusive clip from the movie will be screened. On the special weekends itself, it is said that a unique line-up of Star Wars celebrities, including director Dave Filoni, actor Matthew Wood and many other character depicters will be making special appearances over the weekends.

Impressive 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars' Trailer Arrives

Presenting a "Star Wars" movie like none before, Warner Bros. Pictures have revealed the first look into the forthcoming animation spin off from George Lucas' pop culture phenomenon movies, "", through a high definition trailer. The trailer looks pretty much impressive with its amazing CGI effects and it gives out enough of the movie's story lines as well as many of the epic battle sequences.

Taking more than two minutes of running time, the brand new high definition footage starts a bit slow as it begins with clipping sequences that explained an event leading up to the war against the clone, that is the kidnapping of Jabba the Hutt's son. The circumstance forces Obi-Wan and Anakin to be involved in a mission to find the missing son before the war erupts. Still, the epic battle is inevitable and halfway though the trailer, the explosive gunfights and lightsaber duels are taking over the screen.

Though the leaked "" has been quickly pulled from YouTube, the fast action taken by the Star Wars' bosses apparently didn't stop the details of the footage from being let out. Noting that he has seen the bootleg trailer, Travis Fickett of IGN let out what the trailer promises for the animation film through bits of description.

Stating that the 3-D version of the George Lucas' famous "Star Wars" films picks up a war story, Finkett explained that the trailer previews many combats which is accompanied with energetic music that include "Duel of the Fates" scores from "Star Wars: The Phantom Menace". Some of the battles feature Jedi in action, some others show the war without the Jedi. Further, it is stated that the war scenes also let out the droids, clone troopers as well as dozens of various vehicles and ships.

Latest reports coming from the "Star Wars" 3-D animation "" have claimed that the Warner Bros. Pictures' animation project is going to premiere its trailer on May 9, 2008. According to ComingSoon, Warner Bros. have planned to let out the trailer in the theaters attached to "".

Further, the site reported that it has yet to be known whether the trailer would make its online screening on the same week or not. It has been reported though that the movie will arrive in the theaters on August 15, 2008 preceding its television series premiere on Cartoon Network and then on TNT.

'Star Wars: The Clone Wars' to Hit Theaters in August

In 2007, the "Star Wars" fans rejoiced as it was reported that George Lucas is prepping to bring his blockbuster film series to the small screen in the form of 3-D CGI animated. As the series is nearing its premiere date, StarWars.com reported that the big screen version of the 3-D toon entitled "" will hit North American theaters on Friday, August 15.

Partnering with Warner Bros. Pictures and Turner Broadcasting System Inc., Lucasfilm Ltd. have developed the project to precede the television series debut in the fall on Cartoon Network and TNT cable channel. The big screen animated film is claimed to be the beginning of the 30-minutes all-new 'mini-Star Wars-movie' to be air on the silver screen following the theatrical release. Further, Variety reported that the animated movie that runs around 100 minutes, will tell the Star Wars' story in between episode II and III in which Anakin Skywalker has yet to become Darth Vader.

it was simply FUN! it didnt have anything to make it great but didn't have any flaws. a must see for every star wars fan(of course..) and anyone interested in those kinda stuff!
