Easter holiday this year appears to not only mark the joy of Christian people in celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, but also witness the triumph of "Blades of Glory" in holding its No. 1 position for the second time on the weekend domestic box office for April 6-8.

Still proves strong in the competition, the figure-skating farce delightfully pulls a cool $22.5 million and so, once again forces Disney's family-friendly fare "Meet the Robinsons" to remain on its second-place seat as the CG-animated flick only makes its way to collect $16.7 million this time.

Looks like comedic genre still becomes everyone's favorite in cinemas for sure as Josh Gordon and Will Speck's latest effort "Blades of Glory" instantly soars to pull a superb number of $33 million and claim itself the top holder of weekend box office ended Sunday, April 1, 2007.

The sports comedy therefore smoothly forces its closest competitor also fellow newcomer "Meet the Robinsons" to seat as the runner-up after the animated adventure turns out to score less at $25.1 million. Nevertheless, the amount the Disney production has collected proves way larger than the $11.4 million "300" has pulled, and so put the bloody epic tale on the third place, one notch lower than the rank it achieved in the previous week.

The CGI-animated restart of the crime-fighting franchise, "TMNT", wonderfully strives hard in its debut to collect a superb income of $24.2 million, thereby takes over the No.1 spot from "300" on the weekend box office for March 23-25, 2007.

Though has to be content seating as the runner-up this time, the epic saga telling about Battle of Thermopylae satisfyingly keeps scoring high in its third spin on the chart as it manages to pull a still-sizeable $19.8 million, preventing another potential newcomer "Shooter" to go any higher than number three after it turns out to fare lesser at $14.5 million.

Michael Pena to Star in "Shooter"

His many movie credits and lots of experience in performing various characters have given Michael Pena more than enough provisions to take "Shooter" as his next film project.

There in the political thriller, he will play opposite Mark Wahlberg who's been set to portray an ace marksman who is framed for a presidential assassination he was trying to prevent. He is forced to go on the run while trying to track down the real killer and find out who betrayed him. As of Pena, he will play the nemesis of Wahlberg's character.

"Shooter" to Begin Filming on June 12 in Vancouver

Filming on "Shooter", as that reported by Hollywood North Report, will be begun. And so, all the people behind the film project are kept busy with various preparations as filming reportedly will begin on June 12 in Vancouver through August 30 at Lionsgate Studios.

"Shooter" is a drama thriller flick based on Stephen Hunter's novel "Point of Impact". Cast on board is Mark Wahlberg.
