The 10 Final Figures in North America Box Office
May 08, 2006 11:05:51Paramount Pictures' "Mission: Impossible 3" scores great in box office. The newly wide release collecting an estimated of $48 million in ticket sales, such amount enough to bring the highly anticipated flick right to the top spot. That really is a solid opening though well below industry expectations and almost $10 million lower than the franchise's previous installment.
At 2nd position is "R.V." which taking in $11.1 million, ahead of "An American Haunting" at No. 3 with $6.4 million. Meanwhile, comedy "Stick It" secures the 4th position garnering $5.5 million, while drama "United 93" clings at No. 5 collecting an amount of $5.2 million. At No. 6 is "Ice Age: The Meltdown" taking in $4 million, followed then by "Silent Hill" at No. 7 with $3.9 million.

The 10 Films Win Big at North America Box Office
May 01, 2006 12:05:15In the past few days, moviegoers have been treated with some new movies, but as usual there will only one winner on the chart. Apparently, in the week ended Sunday April 30th, 2006, the North America box office is dominated by the family-friendly road-trip comedy "R.V." which opens at No. 1 on the chart, scoring $16.4 million in ticket sales.
Meanwhile, the acclaimed Sept. 11 drama "United 93" debuts at 2nd place with $11.6 million, just one place ahead of "Stick It" which opens at No. 3 with $11.3 million. Last weekend's top movie, "Silent Hill" is at No. 4, taking in $9.3 million, followed after by "Scary Movie 4" at No. 5 with $7.8 million, and "The Sentinel" at No. 6 with $7.6 million.

April 24, 2006 10:04:03"Silent Hill" makes noise at North America box office, kicking off last week's champ "Scary Movie 4" to 2nd place which scores another $17 million in ticket sales. The horror film based on a video game, according to studio figures issued on Sunday April 23rd, 2006, is the top choice movie sold about $20.2 million worth of tickets since opening on Friday.
The White House assassination tale "The Sentinel," opens at No. 3 with $14.7 million. Elsewhere, 20th Century Fox's animated hit "Ice Age: The Meltdown" is at No. 4 with $12.8 million, ahead of "The Wild" which with $8.1 million in ticket sales reaches the 5th position.

In fact, moviegoers find it amusing, judging from its ticket sales which from Friday to Sunday reached $41 million to open atop the weekend box office in North America. Meanwhile, "Ice Age: The Meltdown," which had been No. 1 the previous two weekends, slips one to No. 2 with $20 million.
No. 3 is "The Benchwarmers" which takes in another $10 million. New wide release, Disney's animated tale "The Wild," debuts at No. 4 with $9.6 million, ahead of "Take the Lead" at No. 5 with $6.7 million. No. 6 is drama thriller "Inside Man" which taking in $6.3 million, followed close behind at No. 7 is "Lucky Number Slevin" with $4.6 million.

The Scary Movie 4 Stars
November 16, 2005 10:11:40The upcoming "Scary Movie 4" is a must-see film. So you better not miss it. Besides starring the notables Carmen Electra, Leslie Nielsen and Simon Rex, the story of the comedy horror also is interesting.
As of Electra, whose character died in the original flick, is back to play a new role in a plotline that parodies "The Village." Whereas, Nielsen and Rex will reprise their roles from "Scary Movie 3." Alongside the three, Anna Faris and Regina Hall have both on board.
