Fresh and Thrilling Images From 'Saw V'

Lionsgate Films have brought forward another batch of movie stills from their forthcoming "". Revealing several characters struggling to survive from the deathly traps they are in, the new pictures share out more hints into the horror thriller about serial murderer with twisted motive. One of the fresh photos also hints at Jigsaw lying in his dying bed watched by Agent Strahm from a distance.

The fifth installment of the popular "Saw" franchise, "Saw V" is said to be following Hoffman, who looks like to be the last person alive to carry on Jigsaw legacy on making others grateful of their lives by putting them in lethal traps. But when his secret is threatened, Hoffman is forced to go on the hunt to eliminate all loose ends. It stars Costas Mandylor, Scott Patterson, Tobin Bell, , Julie Benz and others. Directed by David Hackl and penned by Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton, it is due October 24.

'Saw V' TV Spot Hints New Deathly Trap

The first TV spot for "" has been brought forward. The television promo outed firstly by Joblo teases fans with more heart-pounding footage. For those who have seen the red band clip of this horror thriller, some snippets from this video helps to find out the conclusion of the Pit and the Pendulum-inspired sequence and the fate of the man strapped below the sharp pendulum.

Though most scenes of this TV spot still highlight on the tattooed man like the previous clip, it manages to reveal brand new and never before seen clips. One of them reveals another deathly trap set by Jigsaw for 's character, Luba. Desperately attempting to escape alive, Luba who is tied in the neck to a thin piece of string yells out that it is not the time yet to the woman in front of her.

The nearly four minutes red band clip features the Pit and the Pendulum-inspired sequence, which according to Shock Till You Drop has been presented to Comic-Con attendees in July. It focuses on a tattooed man strapped to a metal bed while a sharp knife pendulum is swinging closer and closer to cut him in half, and another trap is set to crush his bone.

The latest horror thriller flick from ""'s scribe Drew Goddard, "", has received its theatrical release date. The MGM's film that is yet to begin production is slated to be debuted on the big screen on October 23, 2009.

The date chosen put "Cabin" in theaters exactly a week before the sixth installment of slasher movie series, "", hits. Meanwhile, "Saw VI" itself which will be directed by the editor of "Saw" series, Kevin Greutert, has been locked to the October 30, 2009 release.

Nearly two weeks after the release of "" teaser trailer, Lionsgate Films put out two official photos of the fifth horror film. One of them exposes Scott Patterson as Agent Peter Strahm, while the other highlights on Costas Mandylor's character, Hoffman.

Posted in the news' photo, the image with Patterson trapped in the glass cube apparently is a part of the scene which has been let out in the teaser earlier. Meanwhile, the one with Mandylor shows his character surveying what seems to be a model for a possible trap. The latter can be seen below.

Less than three months into the theatrical release of "", Lionsgate Films start to tease off fans and future audience with a glimpse into the latest installment of their horror thriller. Releasing the first teaser trailer of the David Hackl-directed movie, the studio provide viewers with a less than a minute video footage.

Though it doesn't help in getting to know what the movie is all about, the teaser may still give viewers a chill with a haunting song as the background of the video. Opened up with the appearing of glowing words stating, "His message is righteous...His love is everlasting...His gift is life", the video displays one thing, a man whose head is trapped in a glass cube. When the last word, "life", fades away, the man suddenly wakes up and struggles to let go of his trapped head.

Apparently, Lions Gate Films still do not get enough of their horror thriller franchise "". Though the fifth film about a psychopathic murderer with deathly traps has yet to generate screams in any theaters everywhere, a sixth film has been planned and it won't have director David Hackl as its helmer for the second time in a row.

In "", the first time director will be replaced by another newcomer in the directing business, Kevin Greutert. Like Hackl who has been involved with the production of the earlier "Saw" movies, Greutert is the editor of all five "Saw" franchise, including the upcoming "". I have also went to the opening of everyone of Saws Movies. I love when a good horror flick comes to theatres right around Halloween. These movies are great, keep them coming!

i cant believe theres been so many of these movies and still more to be made. i've went to see every one of these during their opening weekends. i love that u have to think when u watch these movies. i cant wait for saw 5 to hit theaters.
