I have read books 1-8 and I recomend them because they are full of excitement and danger.

May 25, 2010I've read the first seven books and totally enjoyed them...Viggo would be a great Halt, Shia as Will, Hayden Christiansen as Gilan, Anne Hathaway as Alice, Hayden Panettiere as Evalyn and Kellan Lutz as Horace. Making the movie should be one or two books at a time preferably one if the movie is 1.5hrs and two if it is 3hrs.

May 21, 2010I think I'd cast Zachary Levi (aka- Chuck) as Gilan, He's deffinately got the height. Edward Norton would make the best Halt, but probably wouldn't take the role. Max Martini (from "The Unit") would be my next choice, he pulls off the beard well, and he has the voice for it too, also he did a good irish accent in an episode of "The Unit". (Isn't Halt supposed to be Irish?)

I would be very disappointed. This book could make such an epic and freakin' awesome movie. If they stick to the book and have a good budget, it could be as big as The Lord of the Rings. NO JOKE!!

Nov 19, 2009This is a great book series, and I think that John did a great job writing it. As for the movie, I think that it has the potential to be the next Lord of the Rings. But... depending on how it is cast, and how close they follow the book, it also has the potential to be the next Eragon. Which, I think many people would agree... was a bummer. I personally think that for many of the characters, they should bring in some new talent. I would like to see someone like Jeremy Irons for Halt, but not Jeremy Irons himself. I hope Paul Haggis does a good job of directing this movie, it would be a bummer to see such a great story line go to waste. I have high hopes for this. Andrew

I mean, in Australia he has like bushy hair and in America he has like little hair. Who knows what he looks like in Araluen! Maybe you should ask John Flanagan. But the movie sucked because they didn't make it according to the books. I suggest you stay with the books and this movie will be a huge success!!!!!!!!!! Keep up the good work!!!
