Brittany Murphy to Replace Lindsay Lohan in 'Poor Things'?
February 06, 2008 04:02:25Brittany Murphy is said to be filling the empty role left by troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan. According to Hollywood Reporter, the co-star of Angelina Jolie in "Girl, Interrupted" is looking at the possibility to star in the dark comedy "Poor Things" after Lohan earlier dropped her involvement in the film.
Though it was said that the negotiation for the part hasn't been started yet, the certain thing is that if she is indeed signed, she will be joining the cast that include Shirley MacLaine, Olympia Dukakis, Rosario Dawson and Channing Tatum. She will also work under the direction of helmer Scott Marshall, and she will be teaming up with producers Rob Hickman and Jack Gilardi Jr. Meanwhile, the film itself resolves around two female con artists who became friends and decide to slain homeless men to collect on their insurance policies.

"Things" Not to Be Delivered?
July 21, 2007 10:07:02With Lindsay Lohan's out-of-rehab status, production on "Poor Things" should be go on by now, but looks like that is not going to happen for good if looking on a report posted on New York Post's Page Six.
According to the gossip column, the flick's set designer Fontaine Beauchamp Hebb has sent an e-mail with the subject line "'Poor Things' Has Been Cancelled" to product vendors GE and Dell computers, which both were promised placement in the movie in exchange for cash. There he informed that producer Jack Gilardi Jr. has decided to pull the plug on the picture due to Lohan's return to the club scene on the heels of her departure from Promises treatment center.

The various "grandma gangs" exploits have included scams as well as cons involving drug sales, insurance fraud, also murder.
