Penelope Cruz to Voice a Guinea Pig in Animated Film
January 21, 2008 03:01:46Multiple awards-nominated actress Penelope Cruz reportedly has agreed to fill in one of the lead voices in Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer Films' combination live-action/CG film "G-Force". According to Variety, the star of "Volver" will voice Juarez, a guinea pig.
The co-star of Matthew McConaughey in "Sahara" is the new addition to the list of voice cast including Nicolas Cage voicing a mole, Steve Buscemi voicing a hamster and Tracy Morgan who also gives a voice to a guinea pig. Aside from the voice cast, the movie will also have human cast in the ensemble, including Bill Nighy and Will Arnett.

An adaptation of Philip Roth's short novel "The Dying Animal", the project will see Kingsley play an eminent TV culture critic and star lecturer at a New York college named David Kepesh who finds his life put into disorder upon meeting Consuela Castillo, set to be played by Cruz, a student in one of his courses. However, as he forms an erotic liaison with her, a maddening sexual possessiveness gradually transports him to the depths of deforming jealousy, threatening him to fall into his own destruction.

February 05, 2007 01:02:26At last the leadstar for Woody Allen's Spanish project is found. The famed filmmaker has revealed to Fox411 that he has cast Penelope Cruz in the untitled flick, the latest in a line of dramas for the man including "Match Point" and "Scoop."
Production on the picture will begin after Allen settles things on his third London film "Cassandra's Dream" which he also produces with his sister, Letty Aronson. It is said that shooting will be commenced all summer in Barcelona, Spain with Cruz to speak both Spanish and English for the feature.
