'Ninja Assassin' Releases Red Band Trailer and New Clip
November 25, 2009 02:11:24Another sneak peek at Warner Bros. Pictures' film "Ninja Assassin" has been shared through a red band trailer and a new clip. Making its way out via IGN, the age restricted clip is packed with many bloody battle scenes that will be featured in the movie. The other snippet, meanwhile, features the major character, Raizo, who is involved in a duel with an older man while they are in a burnt room.
"Ninja Assassin" centers its story on Raizo, one of the deadliest assassins in the world. Being raised to be a killer by the Ozunu Clan, a secret society whose very existence is considered a myth, he is haunted by the merciless execution of his friend by the Clan. Raizo later breaks free from them and vanishes.

'Ninja Assassin' Releases New Clips
November 12, 2009 03:11:36Some sneak peeks at James McTeigue-directed film "Ninja Assassin" have been shared in new clips. First debuted by Collider on Wednesday, November 11, each footage gives a look at some never-before-seen scenes from the movie.
The first clip, entitled "One of Your Senses" shows young boys being trained to fight with closed eyes. The next footage, meanwhile, features Naomie Harris' Mika Coretti who tries to release Rain's Raizo from a prison before a group of people tries to kill them. Another clip, additionally, captures Raizo practicing his martial art skill.

An Inside Look Into 'Ninja Assassin' Unleashed
October 28, 2009 02:10:33The training for the impressive stunts in the November-released "Ninja Assassin" has been uncovered in a new featurette. Providing an inside look at the training for the action sequences, the promo video courtesy of Cineplex offers glimpses of the training leading actor Rain and others undergo to prepare themselves for the action-packed sequence.
Intercepting the training footage are several never-before-seen footage from the movie as well as some behind-the-scenes from the set. Director James McTeigue, producer Joel Silver and stunt coordinator Chad Stahelski are also seen giving commentaries on what the movie is all about and what they want to achieve. Stahelski, in particular, shares that they don't want to rely on the visual effects in offering the stunts.

'Ninja Assassin' Unleashes an Action-Packed Clip
September 05, 2009 10:09:13The first full clip from the much-anticipated "Ninja Assassin" has been brought forth by MTV. Around one minute long, the snippet is filled with action sequences, which include sword fight in the middle of oncoming traffic, and filled with impressive stunts. It captures Rain's Raizo as he is trying to make his escape from the gang of ninja sent to kill him.
Beside the clip, MTV also presented the Q&A session with the Korean pop star during its "Behind the Screen" special, where he answered questions from MTV readers. Asked about the injuries he suffered from the filming, he said, "I have lots of cuts on my body. When I was doing a stunt, even though everyone took care of me, I still got hurt a lot."

Two New 'Ninja Assassin' Photos Bring Up the Heat
August 12, 2009 02:08:41Two fresh photos from the forthcoming martial arts film "Ninja Assassin" have popped out. One captures the shirtless and enraged Raizo, played by Korean pop artist Rain, standing tall amidst the fire, while another one gives out this deadly assassin launching his strike at his opponent inside what seems to be a dojo.
Earlier, director James McTeigue talked about the movie with Slash Film. One of the topics he discussed was the influence of anime for the movie, saying "Yeah, there is actually because anime really did influence what I wanted to do. I guess the obvious one in the way that you see how I dealt with the blood which I guess there's a lot of which I mentioned in the introdcut - which I mentioned into the introduction to the film that you saw."

Action-Packed Behind-the-Scene Video of 'Ninja Assassin'
August 02, 2008 02:08:31Months after the Wachowski brothers-produced action movie "Ninja Assassin" has fallen into production in Germany, a behind-the-scene video has been unearthed. Appeared to be a tape from a German publication, the footages show the shooting of several action sequences as well as brief interview with its stars, Rain and Naomie Harris.
Displaying first a distant shot of a group of ninjas running in the middle of a road with cars speeding in both of their sides, the footage let out the combat between the three ninjas. This behind-the-scene look also exposes Rain's character covered in blood while running away from those who chase him.

A Look Into James McTeigue's 'Ninja Assassin' Through Photos and Details
June 16, 2008 04:06:48"Ninja Assassin", the Warner Bros. Pictures' movie inspired by the ninja fighting sequences in "Speed Racer", has fallen into production earlier. And, like many other movies in production, it cannot stop the leaking out of the movie's stills before it is officially launched.
Following the posting of pictures showing Rain training for his leading role in the movie by YeinJee.com, another series of photos in relation of the film got out. Posted by Slash Film, the four pictures exposed what appears to be the action movie's stills. Three of the photos outed display allegedly parts of the film's opening scenes in which a Yakuza boss, Hollywood, threatening an old Japanese man with a gold gun, whereas the other one shows Naomie Harris' character in supposedly an interview scene. All the four pics can be seen via Slash Film.

The Production of 'Ninja Assassin' Unraveled
May 30, 2008 11:05:59Despite the fact that their last movie "Speed Racer" has delivered a big disappointment at the box office chart, the Wachowski brothers refused to linger on the failure and apparently decided to move on with their next project "Ninja Assassin". On Thursday, May 29, Warner Bros. Pictures made an announcement over the production of the action adventure film produced by the famous brothers stating that the shooting of the movie has begun.
The studio didn't let out the exact date the film started to roll its camera. They merely stated that the principal photography is underway and it is taking place at Babelsberg Studios as well as on location in various parts of Berlin. The filming will be done under the direction of "V for Vendetta" helmer James McTeigue using a script written by Matthew Sand and J. Michael Straczynski.

Korean Singer Rain Nabs Lead Role in 'Ninja Assassin'
February 14, 2008 01:02:31Landing a supporting role in "Speed Racer" apparently isn't good enough for South Korean singing sensation Rain. In his effort to make international breakthrough, the 25-year-old entertainer is reportedly taking a huge leap to star as the leading role in the Warner Bros. Pictures' latest project "Ninja Assassin".
According to Variety, the fact that the singer who is listed in People Magazine's 2007 Most Beautiful People has landed the lead role was announced at a press conference in Seoul on Wednesday, February 13. At the conference, it was also let out that the film will most likely be directed by James McTeigue, the director of "V for Vendetta".

it's one of the best recent ninja movie i have seen.the execution and overkill are slick, and i had my whole 90 min of life (during my seating for this one) reel- played with sheer engagement in front of teh screen. i'm definitely planning to get my hands onthe DVD.
