No Sequel to 'My Bloody Valentine 3-D'

Despite its surprising box office success upon its release, "" won't be getting a sequel treatment. Breaking the news, as reported by Shock Till You Drop, was the horror remake's director, Patrick Lussier, himself during his panel at the Fangoria Weekend of Horrors in Los Angeles.

On the occasion, the filmmaker who serves as visual consultant on -starring "" reportedly claimed that Lionsgate "has no intention of developing a sequel at all". It is further noted that the studio prefer to leave the remake film, which has scored big in its opening week with $21.2 million, as a one-shot deal.

While "" is yet to open wide in U.S. at least until this Friday, January 16, rave reviews have flooded in from those who have the chance to catch a special screening of the horror thriller remake last week. Compiled in one promo video which also includes footage from the movie, the reviews came from Brad Miska of Bloody-Disgusting to horror films' creator Wes Craven.

Promoted to be the best date movie, this 3-D remake to the 1981 low-budget Canadian slasher movie surely did left great impressions to some. Bloody-Disgusting's Brad Miska stated, "It's one of the best time I've had in theaters in a long time." Wes Craven, who gushed that the movie gives out so many great moments of suspense, sounded similar remark, saying he had lot of fun watching it. Staci Layne Wilson of Horror.com added that it is definitely a thrill ride as it is "scary, gory" and shows lots of obligatory naked chicks.

Second Clip From 'My Bloody Valentine 3-D' Arrives

MTV Movies Blog have got their hands on another exclusive clip of "". Showing a more dramatic sequence part of the horror movie than the first one, the less-than-a-minute footage presents Axel Palmer played by and Deputy Martin portrayed by Edi Gathegi discussing about the miner-costumed slasher in the sheriff's office.

The clip starts with a shot of a monitor screen showing the footage in which the pickaxe killer are wandering in what seems to be a hallway. Then, the shot moves to show that both Palmer and Martin are examining the footage. While the two are discussing about who could potentially be the killer, a package smeared with blood is sent in.

A new clip, courtesy of MTV.com, has been brought out to give viewers a first peek into Lionsgate Films' "". Taking the chasing scene in an old mine, the clip shows ' character, Tom, gets caught by the maniac killer's pick. The ending of the clip provides as the moving scene of the movie's poster.

Taking the story of Valentine's Day Massacre stemming from a tragedy that happened 10 years before, the movie directed by "Scream" editor, Patrick Lussier, follows Tom who is haunted by the fault he did in the past. Tom was an inexperienced coal miner who caused the death of 5 men. But one survived the accident and woke up from his coma to get a revenge. Armed with a pickaxe, he set out on a killing spree that disturbs the peace of Harmony.

"", the 3-D movie remake to the 1981 low-budget Canadian slasher movie, has just got its trailer revealed. The first trailer to the horror thriller has been outed first by IGN, and gives away glimpses of Valentine's Day Massacre, the horrific event from which all of the tragedy in Harmony begins to unravel, as well as the coming back of the blood-thirst killer.

In "Bloody Valentine", it is told that ten years after Tom Hanniger caused a terrible accident in the coal miner that led to the brutal murder of twenty-two people by Harry Warden, he returns to Harmony on a Valentine's Day. Haunted by the death of the innocent people, Hanniger tries to make amends with his past. But, his attempt to find peace is about to be disturbed as a killer who dons a miner mask and is armed with a pickaxe returns.

wow i cant belive that Jensen Ackles is i it i am a fan thought as soon as it comes out ill be at the cinimas waiting in line to get a seat he is a good actor and he will do a good job jensen i cant weit to see him on the big screen
