'Mortal Kombat 3' Supposedly Filming in September

A third "Mortal Kombat" movie reportedly is on the work. In an article by the SGV Tribune, former "Mortal Kombat" actor Chris Casamassa spilled the bean that the latest movie of the series that were adapted from the popular '90s fighting games will start its principal photography in September.

According to the actor who portrays human ninja named Scorpion in the original "Mortal Kombat" movie, he is also tapped to take a part in the third film. Though so, it is still unclear whether he will return to reprise his dead warrior role since he was replaced in its sequel "Mortal Kombat: Annihilation" due to scheduling conflicts with "Batman & Robin".

Looks like 'back-to-basic' story has become quite a trend to be applied in Hollywood film productions lately. Taking the same recent decision filmmakers of "" made for the project, those of "" reportedly will also give a reboot treatment to the popular franchise.

"The movie is not going to be a prequel, sequel, or in any form be related to the previous 2 movie," a source revealed to Moviehole.net. "Pretty much like , is going to restart the series with new concepts, stories, etc."

how the hell can johnny cage be in it his neck was broken in the second movie does any1 actually know if its going to happen or is it just fans tugging over kitana and meleena

Well, even if they were doing a chronological sequel, Johnny Cage actually died in the games too and then came back to life. True story. But this is a reboot, so anything that happened in the movies doesn't apply. I know they feel they need Jax in there for the sake of being PC and representing race and shite, but he's such a lame character, and I just wish they would leave him out.
