Movie Story
Georgina Scott (Heather Graham) is a broody 33 year-old who sends her partner packing when it becomes obvious that he doesn't share her desire for a bundle of joy. Zak (Tom Ellis) was going away on a documentary shoot anyway and he hopes that she'll cool off in his absence. But Georgina discovers that early menopause runs in her family and heads for a specialist with her reluctant best friend Clem (Mia Kirshner) in tow. Learning that her baby making days are numbered and her next cycle will be her last, Georgina enlists the help of Clem and their camp pal, Justin, to make the most of it. A battle plan is drawn up but their escapades become increasingly frantic and elaborate as Georgina explores internet sperm donors, night clubbers, builders and funeral-goers in her desperate and hilarious attempts to beat the biological clock.

What's with all the baby crazyness? If you still haven't had enough of preagnacy movies this year you might wanna catch up yet another boring and nosense movie with 'Miss Conception' First of all is another movie with a no so new storyline: Heather Graham's character Georgina finds out she's about to lose the baby train in a week so, of course, she freaks out when her babyphobic boyfriend Zak shows no interest in helping with the get pregnant task and breaks up with him. With only four days and no Zak, Georgina needs to find a man to get her knock up before is too late. (Because of course who wants the logical resolution, also called sperm clinic, if you miss all the fun?) Luckyly Georgina has girlfriend Clem (A delightfull Mia Kirshner with a crappy british accent) and gayfriend Justin (Orlando Seale) to help her find the perfect man to do the task. And, as we all know, the only way in London to find that perfect guy is by following a plan that includes renting your apartment, going to funerals and raping your best friends. It's hard not to think of Tina Fey's Baby Mamma the whole time you're watching the movie, and of course that only makes the experience even more disapponting. So, can anyone tell me why would such great actresses as Heather Graham and Mia Kirshner are in this movie? The only good part of the film is watching the amazing skills of Kirshner to turn Clem into something actually interesting and probably into the only rescuable character of the movie. Not to mention the great chemistry Kirshner and Graham have. But again, did Graham or Kirshner read the script before saying yes? So anyway, if you still wanna watch another movie about babies and how women lose their minds (literally) to get one of those, Miss Conception is the movie for you. If not, you might wanna get The L word just to catch Mia Kirshner being great.
