A Slew of 'The Spirit' Fresh Pics Come Out
September 18, 2008 03:09:51A fresh supply of "The Spirit" images has been unraveled by Slash Film. Sent by the site's reader by the name of Christopher M, most of the pictures are a close-up look into individual character from The Spirit himself to Commissioner Dolan and female rookie cop Morgenstern. The collection of photos also let out for the first time a shot of what seems to be Plaster of Paris.
Apart from those characters, the pics also exhibit Octopus, Sand Saref and Dr. Ellen Dolan. Moreover, some of the pictures look like to be a cut from the film's scene, like the one in which Ellen and Spirit are buttoning up their clothes when the commissioner walks into the examination room, and the other one where Spirit is tied up in a chair while the scantily clad Paris is swinging her blade toward him with full force.

Javier Bardem Replaced by 'Volver' Actress in Drama Film
April 03, 2008 01:04:20Winning an Academy Award apparently didn't help the acclaimed "No Country for Old Men" actor Javier Bardem in keeping his film role in "Tetro". According to Hollywood Reporter, the 39-year-old Spanish actor has to give up his role to a fellow Spaniard actress Carmen Maura in the Francis Ford Coppola's latest feature film project.
The actor who is rumored to be having a romantic relationship with actress Penelope Cruz apparently has to give up his character to the "Volver" actress because Coppola has done "a sex change operation" to the character. "One of the important roles in the script is a mentor and teacher to Tetro (Vincent Gallo), and I originally wrote it for a man," explained Coppola about the changes done. "As I read and reread (the script), I felt that the interaction between the two characters would be far more intriguing if they were of the opposite sex."
