'Me and Orson Welles' Coming to U.K. for Premiere
November 19, 2009 11:11:21A week before it hits U.S. theaters, "Me and Orson Welles" has rolled out a red carpet for premiere in another continent. On Wednesday evening, November 18, the cast members have been snapped coming to Vue West End Cinema in London to promote the film.
Donning a formal black-and-white outfit, Zac Efron was seen coming to the event without companion of his girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens. Also hitting the red carpet was the lead actress, Claire Danes, who wore a long black dress. The two then were seen taking a pose before entering the venue.

A little more than two minutes long, the sneak peek is narrated by Zac Efron's Richard Samuels and offers a closer look at his interactions with Christian McKay's Orson Welles and Claire Danes's Sonja Jones. It also shares glimpses of the problems Welles deals with in the production of Julius Caesar.

Brought out by The Guardian, this U.K. trailer centers its attention to lead actor Zac Efron as 17-year-old Richard Samuels. The sneak peek helps to unravel more on what the movie is all about and the relationship between Samuels and Claire Danes' Sonja Jones and Christian McKay's Orson Welles.
Along with the trailer, the publication also gave a run down on the two leading men performances. "Newcomer Christian McKay (who's done a few Miss Marples, and played Welles on stage) makes a magnificent Orson, but it's Efron who really impresses: showing a depth and charm you'd never have dreamed of," so it wrote.

Previously, another sneak peek was found in a short clip. The snippet unravels the first meeting between Samuels and Christian McKay's theater director Orson Welles, which turns to be an impromptu audition for the 17-year-old when he is asked to sing in front of Welles and his entourage.

Holding the special event at Ryerson Theatre, Toronto, the world premiere saw the attendance of Zac Efron, Claire Danes, Christian McKay, Hugh Dancy and director Richard Linklater.
Gossip Girls reported that Efron arrived to the first full screening event along with his co-star Danes. On the evening, the "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" lead man was dressed in a brown suit completed with a white button-up shirt, skinny brown tie and a pair of wingtip shoes, while Danes wore dark blue mini dress.

According to ComingSoon, the film will start taking its principal photography on February 24 in the Isle of Man. Following that, the filming will be continued at the Pinewood Studios located in London and New York.
Based on the novel by Robert Kaplow, "Welles" is set in the thrilling world of New York theater. It follows the story of a teenage student played by Efron who landed a minor role in the 1937 Mercury Theatre production of "Julius Caesar", which brought fame to its director 22-year-old genius Orson Welles portrayed by Christian McKay.

Beautiful photographics scenes in sepia colors. Great new coming actors Christian McKay, Zac Efron shows another side of him. Some lengthening moments...

I read the book (which was terrific) and can't wait for this movie to be released. This looks like a really talented cast. It will be nice to see the another side of Zac Efron.

Looking forward to the film. But please read the novel first! It was excellent. And give the author, Robert Kaplow, some credit! Without writers, there would be no films.
