The 27th Annual Razzie Awards Recipients
February 26, 2007 09:02:16Carrying out its annual event in 'honoring' the worst works in filmmaking, the Golden Raspberry Foundation announced its voting result Saturday, February 24, 2007 and gave the most prizes to "Basic Instinct 2", dubbed by the organization "Basically, It Stinks, Too."
The follow-up to 1992's hit "Basic Instinct", the flick took four Razzies in total, scoring in the categories of Worst Picture, Worst Sequel, Worst Screenplay, and Worst Actress for Sharon Stone.

January 23, 2007 10:01:10Staying faithful to its tradition in listing the nominees of its Razzie Awards one day before the AMPAS' announcement of its Oscar nominations, the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation (GRAF) has smoothly revealed yesterday, January 22, titles and names for this year's contenders of the worst achievements in filmmaking.
Scoring the most are both "Basic Instinct 2" and "Little Man" as each landed seven nods, followed by "BloodRayne" and "The Wicker Man" with six and five nominations, respectively. All of them 'successfully' gained a slot in the category of Worst Picture as well as in that of Worst Screenplay together with "Lady in the Water", which collected four nods altogether.

July 24, 2006 09:07:07The Disney sequel "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" remains on the top position in the box office this weekend, marking the flick's third straight weekend to be the number one movie, taking in $35 million in ticket sales with its total reaching for $321.7 million after just 17 days being released in the worldwide theaters.
This really is a great attainment compared to its predecessor, the 2003's "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl," which domestic total reached $305 million. Meanwhile, Sony's family film "Monster House", debuts at No. 2 with $23 million, just one place ahead of M. Night Shyamalan's "Lady in the Water," taking in $18.2 million.
