A Director's Cut of "Kingdom of Heaven" Released
December 23, 2005 04:12:33Willing to treat moviegoers with something distinct and special of course, Fox is releasing a director's cut of action drama flick "Kingdom of Heaven," in which filmmaker Ridley Scott has added 45 minutes to the original's 145-minute running time.
The director's cut is about to be screened exclusively at the Laemmle Fairfax Theater in Los Angeles. To note, the original cut has become a breakout hit on DVD, where it topped both the DVD sales and rental charts its first week out in October.

May 11, 2005 10:05:10Historians may afraid of the incite bitter inter-faith conflict that possibly caused by "Kingdom of Heaven" and they may also label the Ridley Scott's movie "Osama Bin Laden's version of history." In fact, "Kingdom of Heaven" has proven to be the best as it tops both the UK and Ireland box office chart, taking more than £2.5m between Friday and Sunday.
Such great achievement obviously pushes aside the film version of "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" to the 2nd after just one week at the top. Comes at number 3 is the action sequel "xXx: State of the Union," while the romantic comedy "The Wedding Date" stays at number four. At number five is Nicole Kidman's "The Interpreter" which drops two places for its lastweek position at number 3.

"Kingdom of Heaven" Wins Box Office
May 09, 2005 09:05:12"Kingdom of Heaven," a film by director Ridley Scott features actor Orlando Bloom as a warrior in Jerusalem between the Second and Third Crusades, has topped box office, taking in $20 million in its debut weekend. The R-rated movie, which also features Liam Neeson, Jeremy Irons and Brendan Gleeson, was followed in the rankings by another new R-rated movie, "House of Wax," featuring Elisha Cuthbert and Paris Hilton, which took in $12.2 million.
As the two films did so, "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" dropped to third place with nearly $9.13 million after debuting last weekend at the top spot. Another notable new movie this weekend was "Crash," which among other featuring Sandra Bullock, Matt Dillon, and rapper Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, and was at fourth with $9.1 million. "The Interpreter," to follow, was at number 5, taking in only $7.5 million. At number 6 to 10 in succesion was "XXX: State of the Union," "The Amityville Horror," "Sahara," "A Lot Like Love," and "Fever Pitch."
