Trailer for Matt Damon-Starring 'The Informant!' Arrives
July 01, 2009 01:07:30The first trailer of "The Informant!" has just been released. Coming out via Apple, the trailer takes a look at the dark comedy thriller dubbed to be "based on true story" and presents Matt Damon as Mark Whitacre, a rising star at agri-industry giant Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) who suddenly turns whistleblower.
Envisioning himself to be hailed as a hero of the common man and handed a promotion, Whitacre exposes his company's multi-national price-fixing conspiracy to the FBI. But, before he can claim the status he needs to provide the agency with evidences. So, he agrees to wear a wire and carry a hidden tape recorder in his briefcase. Unfortunately, his struggle with bipolar disorder frustrates the federal agents and threatens the case against ADM.
