Eva Green Packs Up "Last Things"
November 14, 2006 09:11:08Broadening her acting experience, Eva Green has eagerly signed on to take a starring part in "In the Country of the Last Things", a post-apocalyptic drama feature adapted from Paul Auster's novel of the same title, Production Weekly has reported.
Described as a "bleak, post-apocalyptic tale of the world in ruin", the project takes place in an unnamed city where theft is so commonplace it is no longer a crime and strange suicide cults are springing up everywhere. Green will play a woman named Anne Blume who comes to the city in search of her brother and later finds friendship, even love, amid the devastation.
