Movies, the brand new sneak peek is less than two minutes in length, but does reel in some never-before-seen footage as well as more glimpses at Heath Ledger, Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law as mysterious stranger Tony.
Set to have its limited U.S. release on December 25, this fantasy drama centers on Dr Parnassus and his extraordinary traveling show, Imaginarium. Making deals with the devil long time ago which gives him immortality, he is cursed with a dark secret that jeopardizes his daughter's freedom. Desperate to protect his daughter from her impending fate, he must now find a man that will help him undo the mistakes of his past once and for all.

Heath Ledger's 'Imaginarium' Finds Stateside Distributor
August 13, 2009 03:08:12Following the release of its international trailer a week earlier, "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" is reportedly close to have a U.S. buyer. According to Variety, Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group is in advanced talks to pick up this fantasy drama that features Heath Ledger's last performance.
The Sony group is said to have planned to release "Imaginarium" theatrically this year through Sony Pictures Classics. The trade further claimed that the deal with Sony "has long been in the works and could be made official this week". Nonetheless, representatives, including sales agent John Sloss, kept tight lips on the deal.

May 23, 2009 11:05:09The 62nd Cannes Film Festival has played host to the premiere of "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus". On Friday, May 22, the movie that sees the final performance of late actor Heath Ledger got a red carpet treatment at Grand Theatre Lumiere in Cannes, France, celebrating its first time screening.
For the special occasion, director Terry Gilliam was joined by several cast members, including Andrew Garfield, Lily Cole and Verne Troyer, as well as producers Samuel Hadida and Amy Gilliam. None of the three actors sharing Ledger's role as Tony in the film, Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell, were spotted on the red carpet.

Heath Ledger 'Imaginarium' Footage Shown in 2009 Cannes' Opening Ceremony
May 16, 2009 02:05:34A snippet of "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" shown during the opening ceremony of 2009 Cannes Film Festival has brought forth the first real look at Heath Ledger's final movie performance. In the 15-seconds footage, Ledger is seen portraying lead character Tony in a white suit, wearing also a white mask.
The sneak peek was part of the section wherein a long montage of clips from different films that will be screened in the festival, including Ang Lee's "Taking Woodstock", Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds" and Sam Raimi's "Drag Me to Hell". The video of the entire ceremony can be seen via Canal+, while the montage starts on the 21:27 mark.

Four New 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus' Photos Found
May 07, 2009 09:05:04DVD Forum has got its hands on four brand new photos from Terry Gilliam's "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus". Three of the pictures are the film's stills, and each captures Heath Ledger as Tony, Lily Cole as Parnassus' daughter Valentina and Christopher Plummer as the very own Doctor Parnassus. Meanwhile, the last image is a set photo, displaying director Terry Gilliam giving instruction to Plummer.
New images aside, this fantasy drama which features Ledger's last performance has got its first domestic screening in Los Angeles Tuesday night, May 5. Held by U.S. sales rep Cinetic Media, the screening was attended by major independent buyers. Entertainment Weekly reported that "buyers are currently circling the film", while The Hollywood Reporter claimed filmmakers are looking for "a studio-level deal with studio-level prices".

September 15, 2008 10:09:42Quick Stop Entertainment has presented a sneak peek into Terry Gilliam's currently in its post-production fantasy drama, "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus", through a claimed-to-be teaser trailer. Displaying the artwork, set design and brief glimpses of actual scenes of the film partly starring the late Heath Ledger, the teaser which looks more like a featurette contains introduction from Gilliam himself.
Sharing out the storyline, the helmer of "The Brothers Grimm" and "Twelve Monkeys" explained that the movie will begin in modern London. It is going to follow thousand-year-old prophet named Parnassus who made a secret with the devil long time ago, a secret which may destroy the lives of his and his traveling theater, The Imaginarium, or possibly save them depending on whom they meet. 'Imaginarium' Looks for Heath Ledger Look-Alike

According to press release, people behind "Imaginarium" are still looking for a Ledger's lookalike to replace the 28-year-old actor.
Reports stated that the movie bosses have sent request for Ledger's lookalike to actors' agents. The request letter allegedly read, "Please only suggest actors who look like Heath Ledger and are between five foot 11 inches and six foot three inches." Reportedly, the lookalike actor is needed because Ledger passed out while he was midway through the filming.

According to People, the film director Terry Gilliam is working very hard to save the movie, especially in keeping Ledger inside the film.
Ledger's co-star in the film, Christopher Plummer told the magazine the good news. He stated, "Terry's throwing himself into the job of trying to salvage the picture. The insider explained, "There is a point in the film when Heath falls through a magic mirror. He could change into another character after that and that is where Johnny would come in. Heath Ledger's Imaginary Film in Jeopardy
January 24, 2008 09:01:13Hours after Heath Ledger was found dead in his apartment, the production of his next indie project "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" was reportedly stopped. According to Us Magazine, the film's crew members who have just moved to the Vancouver set were sent home following the death of the 28-year-old actor.
To the magazine, the on-set source confessed, "I just got the call [Tuesday] saying everyone was being let go." The source then added, "We were supposed to start this weekend, but obviously they fired everyone today. They don't know yet what they are doing with the footage that was already shot. Right now, everyone is in complete shock and can't even speak."

How could this movie be anything but FANTASTIC?Directed by Terry Gilliam and the stars, Johnny Depp, Collin Farrell, Jude Law, Tom Waits.But How come HEATH LEDGER did NOT GET TOP BILLING? This young man was about to become the NEXT GREATEST ACTOR. WHAT A TALENT> GIVE HIM HIS DUE> IT"S HEATHS LAST FILM!!!!!
