'Good Shepherd' to Have Two More Sequels
July 07, 2008 02:07:04Critically acclaimed drama thriller "The Good Shepherd" seems to be leading on having two follow-up movies in the coming future. The sequels rumor has been sparked by Robert De Niro, "Shepherd" director/producer/actor, after receiving a lifetime achievement award at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival on Friday, June 4.
Talking about these possible future projects, the 64-year-old confessed that he is planning on making the Academy Awards-nominated CIA Cold War drama a trilogy. He further explained that one of the new films will center on the action from 1961 to 1989, while the other will be focused on the first film's hero, Edward Wilson played by Matt Damon in "Shepherd".

Out of several U.S. productions participating in the program, only "The Good Shepherd" that managed to snatch one honor. Presenting the story about the origins of the CIA, the flick was given a Silver Bear of Outstanding Artistic Contribution 2007 for its ensemble cast which included Robert De Niro, Matt Damon, and Angelina Jolie.

The Good Shepherds Heading for Dominican Republic
January 07, 2006 10:01:05Robert De Niro is bringing his latest project, drama mystery thriller "The Good Shepherd," to the Dominican Republic. The actor would like to have the flick shot there, and thus Angelina Jolie and Matt Damon who are among the cast also heading for the country.
Felix Manuel Lora, spokesman for the national film office, said that the actors should arrive by Saturday while adding "The government is going to help the crew with the logistics so they can do their work without any inconveniences." Production of the film is set to remain in the country for one week.
