'Live Free or Die Hard' Helmer Len Wiseman Tapped for 'Gears of War'

Known for his work in "" franchise, Len Wiseman has delivered a blockbuster hit with the fourth installment of "Die Hard" series making "" to be the most successful movie from the franchise. Having proved his talent in tackling the action genre feature film, it would be right to trust the filmmaker with another high-octane action film, and that just exactly what New Line Cinema do.

The husband of the "Underworld" star, , has recently been signed by the studio to helm their latest adaptation film "". The 35-year-old has long been rumored to be chosen as the man behind the camera for the action film, but the confirmation on the matter has just come out awhile back. Apart from taking the director seat, in bringing the hit video game to the big screen, he will team up with "" scribbler, Chris Morgan with whom he has also work together for "", to develop the story.

The videogame-based movie era appears to still run steadily as New Line Cinema has come to a decision to set up "", an adaptation of the tactical third-person shooter game developed by Epic Games and published by Microsoft Game Studios, at its pit.

In bringing the project to life, the studio has already appointed "" scribe Stuart Beattie to work on the screenplay with Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey producing via their Temple Hill. No words yet on either director or cast lineup so far.

Now this is well totaly wrong, the Locust aren´t from space they´r from the underground, why change a good plot when they already got one.... Aren´t they gonna make a movie based upon the game. this will probably be a shitty movie like Doom they totaly fucked up... sorry for the bad language... but if they gonna make a movie of a game they ARE gonna stick to the story or I'm i wrong... :-/

true true but still im a bit curious on how the movie might turn out and may someone forbid that it comes out like doom they did fuck up the game with a cruddy movie but i still think now and days this would be a kick ass movie and yeah stick to the game o add ons!!! gow fucking rocks!!!!!
