Warner Independent Gets "Funny"

Making a good move as it keeps progressing smoothly, Warner Independent Pictures has satisfyingly obtained distribution rights to thriller drama "Funny Games", a Halcyon Pictures production directed by Michael Haneke.

A remake of Haneke's 1997 Austrian film of the same title, the picture revolves around two psychotic young men who take a family hostage in a vacation home invasion. Filming is currently under way in New York with Naomi Watts, Tim Roth, Michael Pitt, Brady Corbet, and Devon Gearhart starring.

It is interesting for Tim Roth and Naomi Watts to be involved in "Funny Games". The two actors are set to star in the upcoming drama thriller genre.

There in the flick, which will be started by next month, Roth will play a father and husband who tries to protect his family after two psychos invade their cabin during a vacation.

This movie is not going to be for everyone. The ones who look for films outside the box, clever, yet extremely disturbing, will love this movie as much as I did. If look for that straight forward film with the "twist" ending, then this film is not for you. Funny Games put a twist on the a genre that has become monotonous and hopefully inspires more unconvenional film making. Think about what you expect to happen, this movie will prove you wrong. "For politeness sake!"

that music is joun zorn, torture garden. i was amazed to hear it. the whole cd is whacked and beautiful, but not for everyone

I love Michael Pitt, He's a genius, but you all are totally right this movie is not for everyone, but it certainly was for me, very clever, with an extraordinary soundtrack, simply intense. Very nice to all the Michaels.
