From Prada to Nada Comments

Very 'EXCELLENT'

Great film! I really recommend it because I cod relate to it so much! I'm Mexican-American and I don't speak Spanish, just like the protagonists in the film. I get ridiculed for not knowing Spanish but I'm trying to learn because of all of its benefits. This movie shows the audience that there are subcultures and how they make us all unique.

Stereotyping or not. Have a sense of humor. I thought it was funny. For gods sake it's a comedy. I give two thumbs up.

It doesn't makes sense. Who are they trying to market to? Self-hating Latina/os? I saw the preview for the film, "From Prada to Nada." I can't remember ever seeing a movie preview with so much misrepresentation. It's not even about political correctness...it's about respect, social responsibility, and a bit of dignity. PLEASE watch the trailer a second time with a more critical eye and take note of how this film reproduces stereotypes and makes a joke out of latina/os (specifically individuals of mexican descent).
