I bought a new large screen plasma tv, and a BluRay player, and the lady at the movie rental suggested I see this movie because of that. She found it hard to describe to me what to expect. Well, not only was it sumptuos visually, but I was stunned by it, and for days could not gey it out of my mind. What a shame most people have entirely missed it. Mishindi

Visually, a STUNNING film. Everything about it is just beautiful- the sets, the costumes, the cinematography - talk about eye candy! It puts Zhang Yimou's House of Flying Daggers to shame with its lush scenes and sweeping shots. Plotwise, not so good. There seem to be a lot of holes and the plot doesn't live up to the magnificent visual interpretation. The surgery sequence with the dolls is amazing as well. Overall, a visually stunning film, but one where the plot is somewhat forgettable.

The cinematography is breathtaking, the costumes gorgeous, & Lee Pace is heart-stopping. I've watched it about 8 times already and am still not tired of it. I wish I had seen it in the theater on the big screen. Everyone should see it!

visually rich and exotic but with a stream of observations pathos and humor which stops it being too sweet and makes it infinitely touching and tender. Brilliant

I really do love this movie... The soundtrack/main song...is actually Beethoven's Symphony No. 7. Well, at least the majority of it.

Unbelievable, I have watched it 4 times now and still find things I have missed.. shall we talk about lining up with the wizard of oz? One of my new all time favorite movies. LOVED IT!

Breathtaking. I watched it on a plane the other day... I started it and thought "Oh no, this seems really good - I should save it and rent it when I can get good sound and picture quality", but I couldn't tear myself away. I sobbed in front of who knows how many passing flight attendants and Japanese teenagers... it absolutely floored me. A masterpiece.

This movie is INCREDIBLE. I have watched it three times in a row, and hopefully going on to a fourth. Everyone should see it.

The cinematography is stunning, and the character relationships are beautiful. I loved every second of it.

AMAZING!!! I love it! no wonder it took 4 years to make. I had seen previews back in May, but no theatre around me was playing it, so yesterday when it came out, i went straight to walmart and actually had to lie about my age to buy it. (i'm still 16) but it was totally worth the risk :D does anyone know where i can get the soundtrack?

This is one of the most beautiful pieces of art I have ever seen. The costumes, the colors, the acting, the storing, the music..all perfect! GO SEE IT!

This movie is amazing. It sad because the only theater thats playing it is about 45 mins away from where I live and I and others have still driven that to see it not only once but a totall of 4 times! I would say that this is a must see movie!

THE FILM IS AWESOME! GO SEE IT! On the big screen it sings, it's story will move you, and the little girl with delight you, and the visuals will make you love going to the movies!
