Jessica Alba-Signed 'The Eye' Posters Auctioned for Charity

Lionsgate are having a charitable auctions on eBay for several exclusive "The Eye" poster signed by the two stars of the horror thriller, Jessica Alba and Alessandro Nivola. The proceeds of the auctions will go to The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation.

The winning bidders of the auctions will get the studio certified posters signed by the two cast along with a hand signed letter from a Lionsgate executive verifying the authenticity of the posters. The auction will be opened on Thursday, January 31, and will continue through the film's opening weekend.

A New 'The Eye' Skin Design for MySpace Profile Launched

MySpace users have been treated with new customized home page skins and designs as Lionsgate and MySpace teamed up to provide them with a new authentic design. The new design is sponsored by the horror thriller directed by David Moreau and Xavier Palud.

The new facility allows users to change their homepages' skins to a special design from Jessica Alba's new thriller "The Eye". By changing the skins, the users are indulged with the chance to bring the horror scene to their page. They are also given the synopsis of the film planned for release on February 1. Aside from that, MySpace also provides the users with another new function that allow them to customize module placement, such as top friends.

Taking about a month to come up with another moving shots on its upcoming "The Eye", Lionsgate Films has launched an initial full trailer for the horror drama on the net which surely reveals more about the flick, set to hit theaters on February 1, 2008.

Presenting lots of new footage to be seen, the piece is more like an elaborated version of the previous teaser trailer. It begins and ends with the same shot while bringing us deeper to what Sydney Wells, played by Jessica Alba, has to go through after her eyes surgery.

Now we can really grab our first glimpse on Jessica Alba in motion as the blind violinist. Yes, a new teaser trailer for the upcoming "The Eye" has joyously been released by Lionsgate Films on the net for us to take a look at.

Taking duration about 1:12 minutes, the teaser originally was made available on Yahoo! Movies, but now can also be viewed via YouTube as seen below. Some elements from the original version can be spotted here, such as the floating feet and the explosion incident.

Two hefty additions have been made for "The Eye." Variety has learned that Parker Posey and Alessandro Nivola have both signed on to accompany Jessica Alba starring in the project. Along with the pair's inclusion, it is also reported that Paramount Vantage has jumped in as a co-financing partner.

A remake of a 2002 Hong Kong film of the same name, the picture revolves around a woman who begins seeing disturbing images after a cornea transplant, prompting her to find out what happened to the eye's original owner. French filmmakers David Moreau and Xavier Palud are set to helm with Cruise/Wagner Productions producing for Lionsgate.

The drama horror thriller flick "The Eye" is no longer in a turnaround as Jessica Alba reportedly is in talks to take over the female lead role which has been left by Renee Zellweger.

And as Lionsgate has picked the right of the flick from Paramount with David Moreau and Xavier Palud to direct, while Tom Cruise and Paula Wagner in hand to produce, the film will shoot this winter, so said Variety.

Oscar-winning actress Renee Zellweger has been attached to star in the forthcoming psychological thriller "The Eye." The Paramount Pictures project is a remake of 2002's Hong Kong thriller "Jian Gui." Zellweger is set to play the main role, a woman who receives an eye transplant that allows her to see into the supernatural world.

Tom Cruise and Paula Wagner are producing through their C/W Prods, while Hideo Nakata will give hand to direct. Sebastian Gutierrez and Hillary Seitz, to add, are responsible to write the screenplay.
