Looks like Halloween spirit has already roamed in the air to prompt moviegoers turning their attention toward horror genre, giving great advantage to "The Grudge 2" to make such a hard blow this time.

Yes, the fright flick, which is the sequel to the 2004 American horror film remake "The Grudge", has triumphantly topped the weekend box office ended October 15, 2006 after successfully garnering $20.8 million in its first weekend and so, pushes down last week's champ "The Departed" to the second place.

Good story and good cast sure are two of the determining factors for a film feature to hit the screen hard and "The Departed" has proven it gloriously, really.

Opened in 3,017 theaters, the mob saga fantastically strived to sell $27 million worth of tickets to go straight away to the top position of weekend box office ended Sunday, October 8, 2006, muscling out fellow newcomer "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning."

Becoming a pop singer and actress has yet satisfied Jessica Simpson. The actress wanting more than that. Still it has something to do with acting, but this time she is about to take the risk playing the role of "Employee of the Month" alongside Dane Cook. The point perhaps is the challenge.

Anyway, "Employee of the Month" is a comedy film of the Lions Gate, which Gregory Coolidge will direct from his won script. The story of the flick, which is scheduled for a spring start date, begins when hearing that the story hottie will date the employee of the month, two slacker Costco workers vie for the honor.
