I've listened to the entire book and am on my second time through. I wondered if a movie had been made, and saw how old the james dean one is. I thought the cohen brothers would be perfect for the darkness of the book. i'm pretty sad that jennifer lawrence and the hunger games director is doing this. East of Eden requires a lot of depth, a lot of attention to the details that the characters and narrator have, and needs to slow down and speed up in amazing ways. i am a bit doubtful gary ross can do it justice.
