Robert Pattinson Not Up for Peter Berg's 'Dune'

Robert Pattinson will not take a leading part in "Dune", director Peter Berg's new adaptation of Frank Herbert's novel, despite circulating rumors to the contrary. Slamming down the casting speculation was Gossip Cop, which claimed that the denial came from a source close to the "Twilight Saga" heartthrob.

Speculation that the actor who will be seen starring as Edward Cullen in the November-released "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" might be starring in "Dune" made its rounds back in May. While on a break from shooting "New Moon", the 23-year-old was spotted leaving the Los Angeles home of Berg, who is working on the novel adaptation. There were words that he may portray young Paul Atreides in the project.
