'Daybreakers' Gets in Action With International Trailer and New TV Spot

Lionsgate Films has once again shared some sneak peeks at drama thriller "Daybreakers" through an international trailer and a brand new TV spot. Though the two snippets featured different footage, both clips give a look at more action scenes that can been seen in the film while some of the characters are trying to save human population in Earth.

In 2019, a plague transforms the world's population into vampires. As the human population nears extinction, the vampires try to survive by farming the remaining humans or find a blood substitute before time runs out. However, a secret team of vampires uncovers a way that would rescue the human race. At the same time, a group of surviving humans wishes to repopulate the species and survive.

Another preview of thriller film "Daybreakers" has been provided by Lionsgate Films through a new TV spot. Making its way out via Yahoo! Movies, the snippet gives a look at the efforts to save humanity, through both scientific research and fights using weapons.

"Daybreakers" is set in 2017, when a plague transforms the world's population into vampires. As the human population nears extinction, vampires must capture and farm every remaining human, or find a blood substitute before time runs out. Ethan Hawke Researching and Hunting in New 'Daybreakers' Stills

Trailer Park's MySpace Blog has got its hand on two new stills from thriller movie "Daybreakers". In the two images that have been released on Wednesday, November 18, Ethan Hawke's Edward Dalton is being exposed in his two different activities.

In the first picture, Edward is seen wearing a white coat while standing in front of a microscope in what seems to be a laboratory. The other photo, meanwhile, captures the vampire researcher and Willem Dafoe's Elvis, who both bring a weapon.

The vacant slot on the female lead in vampire flick "Daybreakers" has ultimately had someone to occupy, that's according to Moviehole.net.

Yes, the site has just brought in report stating that Australian TV star Claudia Karvan is appointed to fill in the position which will find her playing a human love interest for Ethan Hawke's vampire character. Popular in her native country for her role in TV hits "The Secret Life of Us" and "Love My Way", the actress previously came to American audience as Padme Amidala's older sister Sola Naberrie in "Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith."

Spilling the beans about his next project "Daybreakers", Ethan Hawke revealed to Star Pulse News that two-time Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe has joined him and Sam Neill in the cast of the futuristic vampire flick.

"Willem Dafoe and I are duelling vampires," so Hawk informed. "It's really dark and weird and everybody's sucking each other's blood."

Straying into horror genre, Ethan Hawke has reached deals to be the leadstar in Lionsgate's futuristic vampire feature "Daybreakers", The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Project will find the Austin-born actor play a researcher in the year 2017, during which a plague has transformed most of the world's population into vampires. Realizing that the human extinction is drawing near, the vampires must capture and farm every remaining human or find a blood substitute before time runs out.

The trailer song is a COVER by Placebo of Kate Bush's excellent song "Running Up That Hill." For those of us born in the 70s we remember that being played on the radio, as in the original. Bush's original song is better.
