The premiere for Wes Anderson-directed "The Darjeeling Limited" in Los Angeles on Thursday night (Oct 4) felt distinctively different than other premieres it encountered before: it had star Owen Wilson in.

The actor's presence subsequently surprised the crowds attending the event for this was his first big public outing since the suicide attempt he conducted in August. Long been perceived as an important precursor to the Oscars, New York Film Festival finally came to its 45th edition on Friday, September 28, 2007, marked with the starry New York premiere of Wes Anderson's "The Darjeeling Limited."

Some of the movie's cast cheerfully gathered together to bring highlight to the event, held at the city's Avery Fisher Hall. Adrien Brody landed on the scene wearing gray suit while co-star Bill Murray went more conventional, sporting white shirt and black suit with matching long tie. The absence of funnyman Wilson, who is currently recovering at his California home, apparently gave way for his co-star Adrien Brody to become the center of the spotlight during the occasion. Coming alongside his girlfriend Elsa Pataky, the Oscar winner even gave the photographers something worthy to be captured on: his public kiss with the Spanish actress.

Constructing an intriguing line-up of film titles this year, organizers of the Venice Film Festival have officially revealed on Thursday, July 26 the full list of movies set to be presented at the event, held for the 64th time in its 75th anniversary celebration.

For In Competition section, there will be twenty one flick set to be featured in apart from the previously-announced "Atonement" which will be the opening film at the festival, all to encounter their world premiere. About half are either American or British productions, like "The Darjeeling Limited", "Sleuth", "Redacted", "Michael Clayton", "I'm Not There", and "In the Valley of Elah."

Picking up a comedy feature to mark the event's forty-fifth celebration, organizers of this year's New York Film Festival have cast their choice on Wes Anderson-directed flick "The Darjeeling Limited" as the opening movie for the occasion held on September 28.

"It represents a big step for Wes," the festival program director Richard Pena remarked. "I hate to use the word 'matured,' but the humor and whimsy he uses is sharper, better focused and used more effectively."

Less than two weeks after the unveiling of his new starring vehicle, "The Darjeeling Limited", Owen Wilson has quickly made a follow-up about the ones to play his two brothers in the project. The funnyman has recently revealed to Australian newspaper, The Herald Sun, that they surprisingly are Adrien Brody and the film's co-writer, Jason Schwartzman, thereby making the main cast fixed for sure.

For Brody, this picture will mark his first collaboration with Wilson while the second for Schwartzman as the two previously appeared together in "Rushmore" (1998). The movie itself is planned to be shot in India under the direction of Wes Anderson, a longtime friend of Wilson.

The old team is back. Yes, Owen Wilson and Wes Anderson once again join forces to work together in making "The Darjeeling Limited", so Production Weekly has revealed. The two are eyeing December to start the production of the film.

In this project, Anderson will not only direct but also write the scripts with the companion of Roman Coppola and Jason Schwartzman while Wilson is set to play one of three brothers who journey through India.
