'The Blind Side' Finally Tackles 'New Moon' on Box Office
December 07, 2009 09:12:48After sitting firmly on the top spot of North American box office for two weeks, "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" had to lose its crown to "The Blind Side". The Sandra Bullock-starred film scored an estimated $20.4 million and jumped one position after sitting on the second place since it was debuted on November 20. So far, it has collected $129.3 million domestically.
According to Associated Press, the football drama got a stunning rise as a result of glowing reviews and strong word-of-mouth endorsements from satisfied filmgoers. Meanwhile, Jeff Goldstein of Warner Bros. Pictures claimed he was surprised with "The Blind Side" achievement. "The movie has already done more than twice what we expected," he stated.

Its film "The Blind Side" topped the holiday box office with $9.5 million, Variety reported. Thus, it tackled the winner of last weekend box office, "The Twilight Saga's New Moon", which collected $9.2 million on Thursday, November 26.
The Sandra Bullock's football drama movie jumped up one position after sitting on the second place with $34.1 million intake on its debut weekend. At that time, the Summit Entertainment's vampire drama film topped the box office chart with $142.8 million grossed domestically. Industry estimates, however, expect this "Twilight" sequel to return to the first place throughout the weekend.

Based on Michael Lewis' 2006 book "The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game", the upcoming drama depicts the remarkable true story of Michael Oher, an offensive lineman for the Baltimore Ravens NFL football team. Tim McGraw to Be Sandra Bullock's Husband in 'The Blind Side'
April 16, 2009 01:04:38Country singer Tim McGraw once again will test his acting skill in a feature film as he is tapped to star in "The Blind Side". The 41-year-old, who has shared screen with Reese Witherspoon in "Four Christmases", is set to star opposite Sandra Bullock, playing her on-screen husband by the name of Sean Touhy.
In addition to sharing scene with Bullock, the husband of country songstress Faith Hill will also be joined by Kathy Bates in the movie. He is expected to take part in the film's production when the principal photography begins later this month in Atlanta.

posted by Panama on Nov 29, 2009if you are looking for a football story, you've got the wrong movie. if you are looking for real things that happen to real people, you have to look no further. i am a very picky movie watcher and this one is a movie i could watch forever and not grow tired of it. best Sandra Bollock and Tim McGraw and especially Quinton Aaron movie ever. 5 stars hands down.
