Three young women - Sarah (Kate Bosworth), Abby (Katie Aselton) and Lou (Lake Bell) - get together for a private campout at one of the iconic settings of their childhood, an empty island off the coast of Maine, to renew their bond of sisterhood. They quickly learn, though, that the island is anything but empty, when they encounter three recently-returned servicemen, who have come to the island to hunt. “..is unable to shock, much less convince..”
by Rob Nelson [Variety]
“..you'll still be able to follow what's going on, though, because that big ending-which apes the sloppiness of real-life violence-is built upon beats you've seen in hundreds of movies before..”
by Alan Scherstuhl [Village Voice]
“..it isn't a parody. But it is kind of a mess..”
by Bill Goodykoontz [Arizona Republic]
