while Back in the Day has its moments of spark, it doesn't come close to the entertainment value of its clear inspiration such as Creed, Raging Bull and Goodfellas
the whole experience is low-key with boxing scenes filmed with a few extras ringside pretending to be in a packed arena, a forgettable score that never inspires, and a dismal, obvious training montage that should never have been included
