Steven Soderbergh's 'Che' Welcomes New Trailer
December 03, 2008 05:12:37A brand new trailer for Steven Soderbergh's four-hour biopic "Che" has been released. Giving another preview to the movie that highlights the life of Argentine doctor turned rebel leader Ernesto 'Che' Guevara, the trailer runs for more than 2 minutes and begins with a picture of the iconic leader before moving on showing Benicio Del Toro's version.
This four-hour biopic will be separated into two movies, "The Argentine" and "Guerrilla". While "The Argentine" focuses on Che's struggle to overthrow the corrupt dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista, "Guerrilla" centers on his life after the Cuban Revolution.

International Teaser Trailer for Steven Soderbergh's 'Che' Released
November 05, 2008 04:11:56Optimum Releasing have brought forward an international teaser trailer of Steven Soderbergh's four-hour biopic, "Che". Exclusively previewed by The Telegraph, the video footage compiles both parts of the biopic, "The Argentine" and "Guerrilla", into one and chronicles the journey Ernesto 'Che' Guevara steps into to be one of the iconic people in the history of the world.
Providing a different take from the previous footage released, this teaser is kicked off in the year 1956 when an ordinary Argentine doctor travels to Cuba with one mission in mind, to start a revolutionary. Joining the other eighty rebels to overthrow the corrupt dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista, he soon rises to become one of the prominent guerrilla leaders, who is embraced by his comrades and the Cuban people.

August 01, 2008 09:08:17At the 2008 Cannes Film Festival, "Che", the Steven Soderbergh's Che Guevara biopic which is a merged version of two films entitled "The Argentine" and "Guerrilla", is one of the movies that has created such a buzz with both parts being nominated for the coveted Golden Palm Awards. Now, one part of the biopic drama, "Argentine", has gotten its trailer leaked out.
Opened with a scene where Che portrayed by Benicio Del Toro is enjoying his cigar, the video continues by displaying him delivering his speech in front of United Nation's delegacies. Though the compilation of clips doesn't provide the film's plot and is in Spanish, it still gives out the feeling of what the movie is all about exposing the Cuban revolution and the fight to take over the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista.

Catalina Sandino Moreno Joins Soderbergh's Che Guevara Biopic
July 20, 2007 02:07:15Bringing more highlight to the international cast of the ambitious project, renowned Colombian actress Catalina Sandino Moreno has given her agreement to take part in "The Argentine" and "Guerrilla", Steven Soderbergh's back-to-back biopic of Latin American revolutionary Ernesto "Che" Guevara.
Written by Peter Buchman, the project will depict Guevara's life journey from the time he struggled to mobilize popular support in his homeland up to his 1964 visit to New York where he spoke at the United Nations and was celebrated in society circles. Attached to star are Puerto Rican thesp Benicio Del Toro, Britain's Julia Ormond, Germany's Franka Potente, and Cuban Jorge Perugorria as well as Spanish actors Jordi Molla, Oscar Jaenada, and Eduard Fernandez.
