Ashley Tisdale's 'Aliens in the Attic' Gets Two New Clips

Two brand new clips from 20th Century Fox's forthcoming adventure fantasy, "Aliens in the Attic", have arrived. While both of them are around one minute long, they provide different footage and come out from two different sites. One of them came out courtesy of MTV, while the other was from IGN.

The one from MTV brings up the scene wherein two of the aliens in the attic throw in a tiny metal device which sets off anti gravity into the room the Pearson's boys are defending, making the unsuspecting boys float in the air. Another one from IGN focuses on the snippet that shows the boys are toying around with Bethany's boyfriend with a remote control they found.

A brand new sneak peek into "Aliens in the Attic" has been provided via Yahoo! Movies through a teaserette. Specially made in the tone of video game ads, this video preview highlights on introducing an alien mind control technology which can turn one's grandmother into a Kung Fu fighter called Kung Fu Grandma.

The video begins when one of the kids gets his hand on Nana's controller. It then moves on to show that the kids activate the technology and make their Nana takes down a younger man controlled by an alien. The footage continues to explain how the technology works and how powerful the person controlled by it can be.

The international trailer of fantasy comedy "Aliens in the Attic" is officially released, introducing the four aliens. The first alien is Sparks, a young alien who is pictured to be friendly, kind, and funny. He always tries to make the rest of the team loves him, but he finds it to be challenging.

Then, there is Skip, a small alien who is always frustrated with his team. He's not afraid to knock them around when he is unsatisfied with their effort to take over the Earth. Another alien appeared in the film is Spike, who is the muscle of the team. He is known to be confident and quick. Additionally, he always goes headfirst through a wall because he never realizes that it actually hurts.

The Pearson family think they have got the ultimate family vacation as they head to their vacation home in Maine. However, soon after arriving to the house, they discover that they are not the only people staying in it since a friendly alien has found the house first. Though the alien is friendly, his friends aren't and they are ready to invade the house. Now, the kids have to gear up and defend their house with everything they have.

The time when one of the Pearson kids meets the friendly alien, the streaming in of the nasty aliens, and the battle preparation from the kids' part can be viewed through the newly-released trailer of "They Came from Upstairs", which is posted exclusively by MTV. Relatively short, the video footage still helps to deliver what the movie is all about and teases out Ashley Tisdale's performance as Bethany Pearson.

Former "Saturday Night Live" performer Kevin Nealon has been cast in the 20th Century Fox's adventure comedy "They Came from Upstairs". According to Hollywood Reporter, the 54-year-old comic will be playing Stuart Pearson, the father of Ashley Tisdale's character.

Aside from starring opposite the "High School Musical" starlet, Nealon will also join the cast that include Robert Hoffman, Tim Meadows and Gillian Vigman. Meanwhile, the film directed by John Schultz tells the story of a group of teens who defend their Maine vacation home from an alien invasion coming from upstairs.

Disney's starlet, Ashley Tisdale, is said to make her movie film debut in "They Came From Upstairs". According to Hollywood Reporter, the star of "High School Musical" is going to play in the 20th Century Fox's adventure comedy film.

If she is indeed cast, she will join Robert Hoffman, Carter Jenkins, Austin Butler, Ashley Boettcher and Regan Young in the movie about a group of teens who defend their Maine vacation home from the invading aliens that came from the upstairs. The 22-year-old starlet is going to join the film production before going back to shoot "High School Musical 3". In the meantime, "They Came" directed by John Schultz is expected to start production at the end of January in Auckland, New Zealand.

Thor Freudenthal Unlocks the "Upstairs"

Bringing "They Came from Upstairs" one notch higher in development, the 20th Century Fox has finally got a director on board to helm the project in Thor Freudenthal, Variety has revealed.

The trade says that Freudenthal was picked up after producer Barry Josephson watched his commercials reel and was struck by the tone and humor presented in the work. Freudenthal, who previously served as the second unit director in 2003's "The Haunted Mansion", currently is also attached to write as well as to direct "C.E.O." and "Dead Ever After", the latter being produced by Luc Besson for Europa Corp.

The only reason this movie is even getting any attention is because Ashley Tisdale is in it. I am not keen on her acting-- but the trailer for this movie, the plot summary and the script writing all seem extremely stale. You can't base a movie on who is going to be in it. Aliens? Upstairs? Eh, I don't see any comedy at all.
