'The Seeker' Star to Play Orphan With Paranormal Ability
January 30, 2008 04:01:26Another major cast has join the upcoming Walt Disney Pictures' "Witch Mountain". According to ProductionCharts.com, the Will Stanton of "The Dark is Rising" Alexander Ludwig has been signed to star in the adventure fantasy film.
In the remake of "Escape to Witch Mountain", the teenage actor is set to portray one of the orphans with the ability of telekinesis, Tony. He will be joining AnnaSophia Robb, who is going to play Tia, the other orphan moderate paranormal abilities, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who plays Jason.

Full "Hellboy 2" Cast Unveiled
June 06, 2007 01:06:48Getting very close to the filming start date, director Guillermo del Toro has delightfully opened up the casting choices for his "Hellboy 2: The Golden Army" posted at the official fan-site of the guy, Del Toro Films .
While stating the character of John Myers won't return in the flick, del Toro confirmed that John Hurt would once again appear as a cameo with Anna Walton, Luke Goss, and Roy Dotrice playing Princess Nuala, Prince Nuada, and King Balor, respectively. Added to the lineup is John Alexander who will show up as Johann, whose voice will be provided by Thomas Kretschmann instead.

Winners Named at the 28th Annual Young Artist Awards
March 12, 2007 11:03:56A group of young names cheerfully brought home a prize each on March 10, 2007 as the Young Artists Foundation finally revealed the recipients for its Young Artist Awards on the day at Empire Ballroom at the Sportsman's Lodge Hotel in Studio City, California.
For film feature categories, Emma Roberts of "Aquamarine" and Tristan Lake Leabu of "Superman Returns" delightfully received the title of Best Supporting Young Actress and Actor, respectively with Logan Lerman and Keke Palmer taking honors in the leading acting slot, the former for his role in "Hoot" while the latter one for hers in "Akeelah and the Bee."

Stars Lining Up to Create "Serenade"
July 27, 2006 09:07:35"New York City Serenade" sure gets merrier this time with the arrival of a number of stars to highlight the project as Chris Klein and Freddie Prinze Jr. have already been billed to play the two leading roles with Alexander Chaplin, Heather Bucha, and newcomer Ben Schwartz in supporting parts while Jamie-Lynn Sigler is in final talks to join the feature, so The Hollywood Reporter revealed.
Loosely based on the life of its director, Frank Whaley, the movie is a comedy set in the mid 1990s which tells about the friendship of two childhood friends, an aspiring filmmaker named Owen (Prinze Jr.), and Ray (Klein), a drummer who plays the dive bar circuits. The longtime relationship sadly gets strained because of an occurrence which leads them into a fight, prompting the two to part ways until an unexpected reunion 18 months later.

Here Come the "Penguins"
March 25, 2006 01:03:16Let's hope "Farce of the Penguins", the forthcoming spoof of the Oscar-winning documentary "March of the Penguins", will score the same success in movie industry. One thing for sure the comedy adventure, which veteran actor Samuel L. Jackson has agreed to narrate, is loaded with an all-star supporting voice cast.
The film director Bob Saget also is set to supply the voice of several characters in the flick aimed for a late-summer theatrical release. "Farce of the Penguins" is said as the story of "one penguin's search for love while on a 70-mile (112-km) trek with his libidinous buddies on their way to a hedonistic mating ritual."
