May 12, 2008 09:05:27The highly anticipated music video for David Banner's latest single "Get Like Me" has been premiered on May 10. Just like the single, on the music video David was also joined by Chris Brown and Yung Joc.
Beside featuring Chris and Yung, the clip also sees the cameo appearance by famous baseball player Barry Bonds. Beside singing and rapping, on that video David, the "Kiss Kiss" singer and "coffee shop" rapper also did some dancing moves.
Yung Joc Starts His Own Record Label
May 07, 2008 10:05:29Rapper Yung Joc seems to be ready for making another step on his musical career by starting his own record label. The new label is called Swagg Team Entertainment and it will be under the management of Jive Records.
Joc has even prepared to debut his new artist through his label, which will be Hotstylz. The rapper found the group after he received their song "Lookin' Boy" from DJ Hershey, who downloaded it from the Internet. Joc will release the new version and a music video for the song on May 12.
David Banner Takes Chris Brown and Yung Joc on New Video
May 06, 2008 01:05:29After having its radio release on May 25, David Banner's single "Get Like Me" will soon premiere its music video. The rapper is currently shooting the music video for it and just like the song, the clip will also feature Chris Brown and Yung Joc.
At the shooting of the video David and Chris revealed some details about the clip. Speaking to MTV, Chris said, "It's a lot of ladies, The whole thing has been fun-even just chilling with everybody." Meanwhile, Banner also made a comment about Chris, telling reporters, "I know that since he's a big superstar now, he's trapped in the tour bus and like, 'I wish I could just go out and just have fun!".

February 08, 2008 04:02:36Yung Joc will release "Ima G" as the third single from his sophomore set "Hustlenomics". The rapper had shot the music video and just premiered it on his MySpace page, featuring kids at school in the opening.
"Ima G" that features Young Dro and Bun B is the follow up to "Coffee Shop" and "Bottle Poppin'", the two singles that have been pulled from the charting album. "Hustlenomics" debuted at #3 on Billboard Hot 200 when it was released in August 2007, selling 69,000 copies.
Rapper Yung Joc Got Arrest Warrant for Showing Up Seven Hours Late to His Arraignment
December 27, 2007 09:12:14Yung Joc, who's facing felony charges for carrying a concealed weapon to an airport, failed to show up at Cleveland Municipal Court for his arraignment Wednesday, December 26 and thus was awarded an arrest warrant by judge.
Joc failed to appear in court for a scheduled 8:30 A.M. hearing due to what his attorney cited as personal financial and family obligations. Was considered a fugitive, the rapper then got a warrant issued for his arrest. In addition to that, Municipal Judge Michael John Ryan also increased Joc's bond from $50,000 to $100,000.
Yung Joc Arrested at Cleveland Airport, Charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon
December 26, 2007 10:12:19Yung Joc was arrested early Sunday, December 23 at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport after cops claimed they found a loaded semi-automatic gun in his carry-on bag.
Yung Joc, a Grammy-nominated rapper best known for his hit single "It's Goin' Down" (2006), was arrested at about 6:20 A.M. Sunday after trying to board a Delta flight to Atlanta with a loaded gun in his carry-on bag, a police spokesman said in a statement, adding that the rap star was attempting to go through a standard security checkpoint when employees discovered a semiautomatic handgun and ammunition in his bag.
Yung Joc Coming Up with Second Album

Yung Joc is back in the game with the release of his second full length album. The Atlanta rapper will drop "Hustlenomics" on August 28 via Bad Boy Records.
First single titled "Coffee Shop" has been released officially prior the sophomore set on May 8. The single that is featuring Gorillaz Zoe from Boyz N Da Hood is now being accompanied by a music video portraying Joc in multiple characters.

Rap quartet Boyz N Da Hood is back without Young Jeezy in new album. The sophomore effort which is titled "Back Up N Da Chevy" will be dropped August 7 via Bad Boy/ Atlantic Records.
Appearing in this album are Ice Cube who contributes his voice in song "Choppas" and Rick Ross who gives assistance in two tracks "Paper" and "Table Dance". Fellow Bad Boy artist Yung Joc is also featured on two songs "We Ready" and "Nothing is Promised".

With the release of "Veteran" on March 20, Marques Houston is entering a new phase of his life. Displaying a more mature and personal side, he leaves behind the sexual and explicit records that he had made in the past two albums.
"This one is about relationships, love songs, break-ups - the mushy stuff. I'm 25 now. I'm just at a different place in my life, so I tried to put out music from my soul, something my fans would enjoy," the singer said in a statement to Billboard.com. In the track titled "Circle" for example he said that it tells on the relationship that he is going through. "You have a relationship where you're like, 'I wonder what's going to happen in the end.' You always wonder if it's going to come back. That's why the hook says, 'If you love something, let it go, and if it comes back, that's how you know.'"
Rapper DMX Caused Riot at Hot 97's Back to School Jam

DMX was slated to headline the Hot 97's Back to School Jam, held Saturday September 30th at the Nassau Coliseum. But the rapper unfortunately turned the concert into a riot when he allegedly beat a soundman following sound problems which caused his microphone completely cut out.
Speaking on the incident, Nassau Police Detective Sergeant James Watson said the sound problems occurred when DMX had been on stage no more than 15 minutes. "There came a point in time that the sound was turned down and up again during DMX's performance and it appears he became irate at the soundman. DMX ran toward the sound person, jumped off the stage and onto the soundboard and started a fight with the person."

When Yung Joc does something, he always does it in the biggest way possible, especially when it has something to do with hip hop. The star, whose debut LP "New Joc City" gained a huge success, has hinted that he is about to release new album by Christmas.
"I'm doing my album called Feed the Hungry," he said. "I'm going to different cities, get some hot records from local artists and put bigger names on the records to help springboard their careers. I'm coming to a 'hood near you."

MTV announced its nominees for the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards on Monday July 31st and there it goes Latin singer Shakira and the Red Hot Chili Peppers leading the list with seven nominations each. The rock band and the pop superstar will compete for Video of the Year award for the videos "Dani California" and "Hips Don't Lie".
As of Shakira, she also is up for Best Female Video award still for the same single competing that of Christina Aguilera's "Ain't No Other Man", Kelly Clarkson's "Because of You", Madonna's "Hung Up", and Nelly Furtado's "Promiscuous". Nelly Furtado's "Promiscuous" holds the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for the third consecutive week. On top of that the track also is the chart's greatest airplay gainer and remains atop the Pop 100 and Hot Digital Songs charts for a third frame each.
Back then to the Hot 100, Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy" secures the 2nd place, just one place ahead of Cassie's "Me & U" which moves up one place from last week position to No. 3. Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie", in the meantime, falls two places to No. 4, followed after by Yung Joc's "It's Goin' Down" at No. 5.

Taylor Hicks is rocketing even higher and higher in the industry, keeps reaping wining after winning from the day he was crowned season five "American Idol" champion. Has just signed his first ever recording contract, he shortly thereafter released his first single, "Do I Make You Proud", on June 13.
As many have predicted, the silver-haired Alabama native's set satisfyingly comes in at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, the Billboard Single Sales chart and the Billboard Pop 100 chart, making it the best selling song in the country with over 190,000 copies sold in its first week of release. What's more Hicks will perform this chart topping song on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Thursday, June 22nd.

Rap star Busta Rhymes catapulted onto the top position of the US pop album charts on Wednesday June 21st, 2006 with his first No. 1 release, "The Big Bang". The star's collection, include such hit singles as "I Love My Chick" and "I Love My Bitch", debuted with 209,000 U.S. copies sold for the week ended June 18, according to Nielsen SoundScan. On top of that, "The Big Bang" also shot straight to No. 1 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums tallies.
In the meantime, country trio the Dixie Chicks held steady at No. 2 with their "Taking the Long Way" sold another 130,000 copies, while remained at the top of the country albums chart for a fourth week. As for last week's best-seller, AFI's "Decemberunderground", it slipped two to No. 3 sold 104,000 copies. Timing is just perfect for AFI when the rock music group released their seventh studio album, "Decemberunderground." Released on the appropriately demonic 6-6-06, the set, on the other hand, selling more than 182,000 copies in the week ended Sunday, such amount which automatically pushes aside last week's champ Dixie Chicks's "Taking the Long Way" to No. 2 with third week sales of 175,000 copies.
Come in at No. 3 is "New Joc City" by Yung Joc which debuted with 148,000 copies, followed after by Ice Cube's "Laugh Now, Cry Later" at No. 4 selling nearly 145,000 copies. T.I.'s Entourage Killed in A Gun Battle
May 04, 2006 09:05:23T.I. loses one of his friends as a member of his entourage was killed in a gun battle early Wednesday May 3rd, 2006. An onlooker said to police, the fight happened at a party for T.I. and fellow rapper Yung Joc after they performed Tuesday night May 2nd at Bogarts, a concert hall near the University of Cincinnati.
The best-selling rapper and his pals were going to leave the party following a dispute with some local residents. Unfortunately, they were pursued by two sport utility vehicles and thus prompted a gun battle with some friends of T.I.'s shooting at the pursuing vehicles.
