Elevating the high-profile status of "The Incredible Hulk" a notch higher, Oscar winner William Hurt has given his commitment to join in the cast of the superhero flick, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed.
Already lined up Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, and Tim Roth, the highly-anticipated project finds Bruce Banner/Hulk on the run as he is trying to avoid capture long enough to cure the condition that turns him into a monster. Hurt is said to portray Gen. Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross, the man who has dedicated his life to capturing the Hulk and the father of Banner's love interest, Betty Ross, played by Tyler.

Openly discussing about what project she will next jump into, Kristen Stewart, known for her role as Jodie Foster's daughter in "Panic Room", has told MTV that she is slated to film a big screen feature entitled "The Yellow Handkerchief."
Also stating that William Hurt and Maria Bello are both joining her in the cast, the starlet said that the project is about two "amazing love stories" which follow "three very unlikely characters who come together ... out of need."

What's new from movie industry is Forest Whitaker's addition to the lineup of the forthcoming drama thriller "Vantage Point". The actor reportedly has signed on to co-star in the Pete Travis-directed flick, joining Dennis Quaid, Matthew Fox and William Hurt.
Written by Barry Levy, "Vantage Point" will be produced by Neal Moritz through his Sony-based Original Film. As of the story, it chronicles an attempt to assassinate the U.S. president in Madrid and is told from five points of view, unfolding in 15-minute increments.

Hence, Hurt is taking another menacing role in the forthcoming "Mr. Brooks". A psychological thriller, the flick revolves around a serial killer and will have Bruce Evans to direct from a script he wrote with Raynold Gideon.

We're not talking about the Midwestern state, but it's about Chad Lowe's directorial debut, which he along with wife Hilary Swank and Mark Burton are producing. The film is a project based on Ethan Canin's adaptation of his short story titled "Batorsag & Szerelem," from his anthology "The Palace Thief." Former NBA All-Star Reggie Miller of Baby Boom Prods will serve as its executive producer.
"Beautiful Ohio" will star William Hurt, who is joined by the like of Rita Wilson, Julianna Margulies and Michelle Trachtenberg. The story of the film centers on a teenager, played by newcomer Brett Davern, who feels he is in the shadow of his idealized older brother, played by David Call. Wilson and Hurt play the boys' parents, with Margulies cast as a seductive next door neighbor and Trachtenberg as Call's girlfriend.
