Jimi Hendrix, Vince Gill and other music greats are set to be inducted to Music City Hall of Fame. Sponsored by Gibson Guitar, the event will see six honorees inducted on November 5 in the Hall of Fame Park, Nashville.
Beside the renown musicians, the list also include Grammy award-winning singer Rodney Crowell, country songwriter Bob DiPiero, record producer Buddy Killen, and Barbara 'The Princess of Steel' Mandrell.

Three country icons have been selected to be the inductees of this year's Country Music Hall of Fame. Musician Vince Gill, singer-songwriter Mel Tillis and TV personality Ralph Emery are all slated to attend the induction ceremony in October.
The trio were chosen by Country Music Association's Hall of Fame Panel of Electors that has 300 members appointed by CMA boards of directors. Their names were announced on Tuesday (August 7) by Brenda Lee, Barbara Mandrell and Hall of Fame director Kyle Young, who were also celebrating Tillis' one-day-ahead 75th birthday.

Eric Clapton has made the year 2007 a productive one for music industry by gathering the world's most famous guitarists in a single concert. Those like B.B. King, Willie Nelson, Vince Gill, Sheryl Crow, Jeff Beck, John Mayer and many more will back him up in a concert on July 28.
Clapton has only one view to hold this mega concert. That is for the sake of Crossroad, a drug rehab he owns in Antigua. The clinic that he found 10 years ago will benefit from the Chicago concert. Though tapping the artists is part of the plan, Clapton opens up for some spontaneous collaboration. "Some of it's mapped and some of it isn't. We have to leave a little bit of it to chance," he said.

The 41st annual Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards held Tuesday night May 23rd, 2006 saw the winning of several notable musicians. Among the many winners at the prestigious event, there was Brooks & Dunn who nabbed two awards all at once, one of which was for Vocal Duo category while the other one was for Song of the Year for "Believe".
Elsewhere, the Male Vocalist award went to Keith Urban and the Female Vocalist prize was given to Sara Evans. Besides them all there were also Rascal Flatts and Jason Aldean to mention some others, each of which brought home the award for the category of Vocal Group and New Male Vocalist. As of the Female Vocalist award the winner was Carrie Underwood who at the same time also won Single Record of the Year for "Jesus Take the Wheel".

His generous spirit and charitable work finally earn musician Vince Gill the Academy of Country Music's Home Depot Humanitarian Award. The American country music singer-songwriter, as Billboard has learned, will be presented with the award on the nationally televised 41st annual ACM Awards on May 23 at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena. The show will air live on CBS at 8 p.m. EST.
Said he is "pretty thrilled" by the honor, Gill simply remarked "I've been fortunate to receive a lot of awards. When they're about a song or a record or a performance, it's just really about that moment. This kind of award embodies a totally different spirit ... These are the things that make you feel like you've been a decent human. It's more about life and more about serving your fellow man and about the things that really do matter."

Country crooner Vince Gill is said to host "The Grand Ole Opry at Carnegie Hall", which is a television special with an unlikely combination of subject and venue.
Set to be held March 12 on the Great American Country cable network, the two-hour show will feature performances by Gill, Brad Paisley, Alison Krauss, Trisha Yearwood, Alan Jackson, Martina McBride, Trace Adkins and many others.
