'Wall Street 2' and 'Smurfs' Pushed Back, 'Alvin and the Chipmunks 3D' Sets Release Date
March 11, 2010 11:03:40Several studios have just made adjustments to the release schedule for the some of their movies. According to Box Office Mojo, 20th Century Fox has decided that "Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps" starring Shia LaBeouf and Michael Douglas is pushed back from its original slot of April 23 to September 24.
Fox additionally has announced that the production for "Alvin and the Chipmunks 3D" has started and release date for the film has been determined. This follow-up to "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel" is planned to open wide in U.S. theaters on December 16, 2011.

Mary J. Blige and Andrea Bocelli to Hook Up at Grammys for Haiti

'Avatar' Comes Unchallenged at Box Office's Top

The humans vs. aliens movie, starring Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana, scored a second week at the top of the chart with a stunning $75 million three-day take. The weekend estimate gives the film a 10-day total of $212.3 million in America alone. The film made a worldwide splash last week when it scored a $232.2 million opening weekend.

Daft Punk to Have a Cameo in 'Tron Legacy'
October 06, 2009 09:10:57Daft Punk will contribute more than scoring the original music for "Tron Legacy" as their cameo appearance in the movie has been recently revealed. Bringing up the news to the surface was Olivia Wilde, who will be seen as Kevin's loyal confidant named Cora in the "Tron" sequel. To MTV News, she simply said, "They were in the movie."
Although revealing the cameo appearance, the depicter of Thirteen in "House M.D." didn't offer further details, especially on what role the duo known for their robot personas will take on. She did note, however, that Disney plans to feature them in future promotional efforts. She said, "There's some ideas in the works about how to incorporate them into a Comic-Con event."

'Watchmen' Soundtrack and Original Score to Be Released in March
January 23, 2009 03:01:07"Watchmen" will have its soundtrack album and original score compilation released three days before it makes its debut in the U.S. theaters. On Thursday, January 22, Warner Sunset/Reprise Records announced that both of the movie's soundtrack and original score have been set to hit U.S. stores on March 3.
Through a press release, the recording company also let out that the soundtrack will include a cover version of Bob Dylan's "Desolation Row" by My Chemical Romance, recorded exclusively for the movie. Other than My Chemical Romance, other musicians featured in the album include Billie Holiday, Simon & Garfunkel, Janis Joplin, KC & The Sunshine Band and Nat King Cole.

'Alvin and the Chipmunks' Sequel Coming Out Sooner
October 24, 2008 02:10:31Getting a title, "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakuel", the sequel to "Alvin and the Chipmunks", has also been given a new release date schedule. The latest report from Variety claimed that the 20th Century Fox have pushed the sequel forward, putting it on a 2009 slate.
Revealing further on the new schedule, the news site reported that the animation movie about the harmony singing chipmunks will be opened in the theaters starting on Christmas Day, December 25, 2009, instead of its initial date on March 19, 2010. With the new date, the sequel will have to be up against another animation movie from Walt Disney Pictures, "The Princess and the Frog".

Twelve Animated Titles Shortlisted for 2008 Oscar

Three will then be selected as the final contenders by the time all categories get unveiled on January 22, 2008.

Although or due to the relatively mild chart position that 'I Got It From My Mama' earned, will.i.am has remixed the first single that is taken from his recently released album 'Songs About Girls'. The remix has taken samples from Daft Punk's materials, but it was later on disapproved.
The remix version is now not eligible for release, so does its music video. However, words have spread and both the audio and music clip have leaked online.

2007 Lollapalooza in Chicago's Grant Park has taken center stage in music buzz last weekend. The annual festival that celebrates the greatest alternative acts kicked off Friday, August 3 on a hot but pleasant weather, mainly due to the worthy performances in all its three days.
LCD Sound system only gave the best opening on day 1 by delivering beats that audience have been dying for. The group raved through their sets mostly containing materials from latest CD "Sound of Silver" before moving on with the Grammy-winning hit "Daft Punk is Playing at My House". Kanye West's "Graduation" Comes Sooner

Still around Kanye West's "Graduation", the highly anticipated album has brought two more news ahead of its release. First of all, the album won't arrive in September as scheduled and secondly, an adaptation of Daft Punk can be expected in one of the tracks.
Previously announcing that he will 'graduate' on September 18, Kanye comes up with the album sooner than expected. The singer's record will arrive in late August according to its label, Def Jam. This announcement was in line with the revelation of his sample of Daft Punk's 2001 hit "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger". Kanye borrows a piece of the score from the electronic duo to be remixed into the song "Stronger". Words have it that Daft Punk's members Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo will appear alongside him in the song's video.

The song "Tell Me Where It Hurts" which video has roamed in Teleport Music TV station is confirmed to be part of Garbage's "Absolute Garbage" and will be the first single from the greatest hit compilation. The track "It's All Over But The Crying", meanwhile is waiting to be confirmed as the band's second single.
"Tell Me Where It Hurts", which video was directed by Sophie Muller, marks the band's come back since two years hiatus. Its single will come out one week earlier than the album on July 9 and added with a B-side track titled "Bad Boyfriend (Sting Like a Bee Remix)" and "All the Good in This Life". The video meanwhile, will start airing on U.K.'s Channel 4 on May 27.
Poison Reveals Cover Album Tracks

An important detail is coming up from glam metal band Poison's newest album "Poison'd!". The album that offers a selection of classic rock tune covers has revealed its heavily anticipated tracklisting. The 13 tracks are ranging from David Bowie's "Suffragete City" up to Grand Funk Railroad's "We're An American Band".
On January 3, the band posted on their official My Space page that they need the help from fans to pick songs for the album. Some suggested the band covering Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Freebird," Sweet's "Ballroom Blitz," and AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long". None of the songs was included in the record along with the obvious suggestion of Alice Cooper's "Poison." The band however kept Sweet and Alice Cooper in mind and decided to do their other songs.
