In company of the princes, Bond star Daniel Craig arrived at the premiere fully dressed in black tuxedo. Still sporting a sling for his injured shoulder, Craig was accompanied by his partner U.S. producer Satsuki Mitchell. Jack White Upset Over 'Quantum of Solace' Promotional Video
September 15, 2008 02:09:43Jack White of The White Stripes is reportedly unhappy when the song that he has penned with Alicia Keys is used for Coca Cola promotional campaign. "Jack White was commissioned by Sony Pictures to write a theme song for the James Bond film 'Quantum of Solace', not for Coca Cola," Jack's spokesperson recently says.
Furthermore, according to the statement issued by the publicist, Jack is mainly upset because the song titled "Another Way to Die" has been leaked before its official release date that reportedly coincides to the movie's premiere on October 29. "We are disappointed that you first heard the song in a co-promotion for Coke Zero, rather than in its entirety," his representative adds.
Alicia Keys Plans Rock Collaboration With The White Stripes

That idea came to Alicia's mind ever since she did a duet with Keith Urban at the Live Earth concert in 2007. After that, the singer has already set her mind on another collaboration with other rockers, such as Queens of the Stone Age, Linkin Park, Coldplay and The White Stripes.

White speaks more elaborately on what Dylan is trying to do with the country singer's materials that were not done before his death in 1953.
Speaking to MTV White explained, "Bob's putting together an album. He came upon, somehow, 20-25 unfinished songs by Hank Williams: just the lyrics, no music, and he started to ask people if they would finish these songs." Back in November last year White reportedly worked on Williams' unfinished "You Know That I Know" at Blackbird Studios in Nashville with engineer Joe Chiccarelli.

It is the sixth album of the Grammy Award winner rock duo after "Get Behind Me Satan" in 2005. Taking a three weeks process of recording in Blackbird Studio, Nashville to finish this album, it is a period of time which is longest in the band's recording history.
As quoted in the band's official site, Meg White the drummer and vocalist of the band, has faintly mentioned the words "good", "musical in nature" and also "finished" to describe the status of the album. Meanwhile the guitarist and vocalist Jack White who had been busied performing with his other band The Raconteurs in the past two years claimed their feeling towards this album as "almost into it".

Co-Producer Sued the White Stripes Over Royalties
April 18, 2006 01:04:27
Music group The White Stripes is facing a lawsuit brought by Jim Diamond, who is listed as co-producer on the band's self-titled first album, released in 1999. In his suit, filed in U.S. District Court, Diamond claims that he played a pivotal role in creating the band's signature sound thus deserves a share of the royalties.
"It's not just about fun and games," Diamond said. "I understand this is a business." Aside, The White Stripes deny Diamond's claim, saying in court documents that they paid him $35 an hour for time at his Ghetto Recorders studio, which he started in 1996. As stated by the band's Los-Angeles based attorney, Bert Deixler, "It is a meritless case which will be defended with vigor".

Explaining on the cancellation, a recent message on the band's Web site read "As part of his treatment, the doctors have instructed Jack not to speak or sing for the next two weeks. We sincerely apologize to our Japanese fans and friends and hope to reschedule dates as soon as we can."
