No Fugees, Lauryn Hill Has Greater Chance Releasing Album

With their latest visible act taking place in February 2006, The Fugees' future may come to a dead end. Lauryn Hill's label said that her solo album is more possible than the group's reunion.
A rep of Hill said that she has made a return to the studio and has more than enough materials to be made an album. She however, prefers to be quite about it and looking forward to record the songs while looking for collaborators.

Fans of R&B and hip-hop music should be delighted to watch "Block Party." Depicting the situation in rehearsals and backstage, this documentary about Dave Chappelle's dream concert features some of the most gifted and socially conscious hip-hop and R&B artists, among others Kanye West, Mos Def, John Legend, Talib Kweli, The Fugees, Erykah Badu, plus Big Daddy Kane. And all appear in his show held on a corner in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
"Block Party" begins with Chappelle goes around to offer some golden tickets to the party days before the show to random citizens and acquaintances which include a convenience-store owner and a couple of probation officers while also invites the Central State University marching band to join the musical lineup. Directed by Michel Gondry, the docu also shows the scenes in which he delivers a megaphone-amped party invitation to "the Huxtables" of "Cosby Show" fame and clowns with neighborhood kids as he passes through a street of Brooklyn townhouses.
HBO to Release Wyclef Jean Comedy Series

More, he also will write the project along with writers Seth Rosenfeld and Danny Hoch. Since the series is still the early stages of development, you have to stay tuned and we'll bring you further details.

October 04, 2005 03:10:32In nearly a decade that they disappearing from music world, The Fugees are reuniting. Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and Pras Michael recently working on their new album and come up as the result is single "Take It Easy" which they already released via Apple's iTunes music store.
While the disc is scheduled for an early 2006 release date, the group is about to hold a European tour planned for the end of the year. The tour reportedly will begin November 30 in Vienna and over the following three weeks will make stops in Finland, France, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom, with their last stop scheduled December 20 in Switzerland.

The group's label, Sony Records, already set a December 27 release date for their new untitled album with a video from the new project to be released in the coming weeks. Prior to that, The Fugees' first new single in almost 10 years, "Be Easy," has been debuted on urban radio last week.
