November 19, 2009 02:11:04Winners for this year's mtvU Woodie Awards have been announced during a pre-taped show on November 18. Kings of Leon took home the top honor, Woodie of the Year, beating Asher Roth, Drake, MGMT and Silversun Pickups.
Green Day were honored with Performing Woodie. Meanwhile, Matt and Kim received Best Video Woodie and this year's youngest nominee Never Shout Never won Breaking Woodie. Other winners were Tech N9ne who claimed Left Field Woodie and Jamie Tworkowski who was given the Good Woodie.
Tech N9ne's 'Leave Me Alone' Music Video Debuted
October 28, 2009 03:10:08Tech N9ne stays aloof in a newly-premiered music video which supports his single "Leave Me Alone". In a crowded room, the rapper is captured sitting on the couch without bothering to mingle with others.
"Leave Me Alone" comes from Tech N9ne's October 26 release "K.O.D." which is filled with his personal experiences. "I've seen so much pain recently," he said. "So many dark things. I had to take those experiences and make something beautiful out of them. I couldn't let myself fall into that hole with no chance of getting out."
2009 mtvU Woodie Awards Noms Announced, Drake Up for Woodie of the Year
October 06, 2009 10:10:04Chosen by college students and music fans across U.S., nominations for the sixth annual mtvU Woodie Awards have been announced. New rappers Drake, Asher Roth and Kid Cudi are listed in one category each.
Drake goes head-to-head against Roth, Kings of Leon, MGMT and Silversun Pickups, vying for Woodie of the Year. As for Cudi, he is among the contenders for Best Video Woodie along with Death Cab for Cutie, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Anjulie, The Dead Weather and Matt and Kim.
Tech N9ne's Music Video for Single 'Red Nose'
April 15, 2009 04:04:05A music video aimed to support Tech N9ne's single titled "Red Nose" has just made its debut. Directed by Dan Gedman, it features a room full of broken electronic equipments with the rapper singing the song in the middle of the damaged stuff.
"Red Nose" is the lead single coming from Tech N9ne's forthcoming ninth studio album "Sickology 101". It has been available for digital purchase since March 31.
Tech N9ne Dropping First Collabo Album

Tech N9ne is in preparation to release his first collaborative record. Album "Misery Loves Kompany" will span his work with fellow indie musicians such as Yukmouth, Big Krizz Kaliko, Kutt Calhoun, Skatterman, Snug Brim, Prozak, Big Scoob, T-Nutty and Dalima.
The most requested rapper in Kansas City would not stop at party theme for this piece and insisted on a variety of issues. "There's a lot of stuff on this album," Tech N9ne said. "It's a variety. It's not just sexual. It's not just party. It's just like the normal Tech N9ne rollercoaster. There's something on there for everybody."
