The video opens with a scene in Lagos, Nigeria and about the song itself, Kweli who rapped "Hip-Hop is not a Nation" explained to Hip-HopDX.com, "I don't think we necessarily need to be a nation. A nation is bigger than a genre of music or a lifestyle. A nation requires nation-building. It requires real structure. That's not what Hip Hop is about. Hip Hop is about rebelling and being free - not that a nation isn't about being free, but nation-building needs leaders and I'm not sure that Hip Hop needs leaders."

August 18, 2007 01:08:28
Just days before Talib Kweli's album hit the street, a track called 'The Nature' that supposes to be a bonus track only has leaked online. Apart from being early, what's interesting from this song is its featured artist, Justin Timberlake.
The song is understood to be a bonus only because it speaks sympathy on Third World children who have to struggle in their life. The rapper generally criticizes what politic and communication have done on today's world. At one point the lyric said "Where the kids get they ammunition/ You can't get no nutrition or any type of suitable living condition" and later on "Don't nobody talk no more/ They all text message".

The event is formed as a result of co-sponsorship between Stride Gum and Major Baseball Properties. There will be 18 dates that begins on April 7 at House of Blues, Las Vegas and ends on May 5 at Johnson & Wales University, Providence, Rhode Island. Within the dates, 12 venues are slated at press time.
