With four episodes left, Eriq La Salle returns to "ER" to reprise his role as Dr. Benton. Also spotted in the preview which has just been released are Julianna Margulies who reprises Nurse Carol Hathaway and Susan Sarandon as a patient's mother.
Should the rumors are to be believed then the next week's episode of "ER" would also be the one with George Clooney returning as Dr. Doug Ross. Executive producer John Wells would not confirm this but he told EW that not all those who come back will be cramped in one episode. "You should not expect them all to be in the finale," he said. "We've spread them out over the season. I didn't want to do something like somebody dies, or there is a celebration, or the hospital closes, so that's why everybody comes back. I wanted it to be natural."
Nominees for the 29th Annual Genie Awards Unveiled

Leading the pack for the awards honoring the best in Canadian film was "The Necessities of Life". The movie about an Inuit hunter stranded in a Quebec hospital collected eight gongs, including best picture, best director for Benoit Pilon and best original screenplay for Bernard Emond.
In the category of best pictures, Pilon's film will be up against "Amal", "Normal", "Passchendaele" and "Everything Is Fine". Meanwhile, for the best original screenplay title, it placed Bernard Emond in competition with Deepa Mehta of "Heaven on Earth", Travis McDonald of "Normal", Randall Cole of "Real Time" and Guillaume Vigneault of "Everything Is Fine".

Susan Sarandon May Appear as a Guest Star in 'ER'

Now that George Clooney is known to have appeared on the set of the show, the execs are splatting the icing of the cake by signing Susan Sarandon in. E! Online reported that the actress has filmed some scenes with Clooney late last week.
Sources are spilling that they filmed together at the Warner Studios in Burbank but no more details are given other than the info that the episode will air toward the end of the the current final season. It still remains a mystery though how Clooney's Dr. Doug Ross will contribute to the storyline but E! said that he shares at least one scene with Linda Cardellini who plays Nurse Samantha Taggart.
'City of Ember' Celebrates Its Premiere in New York
October 08, 2008 02:10:03In anticipation of "City of Ember" theatrical release this coming Friday on October 10, Fox-Walden Media have presented moviegoers with the premiere of their latest adventure fantasy film. Held at AMC Loews 19th Street Theatre, New York City, on Tuesday, October 7, the special screening event was a star-studded extravaganza.
Rolling out the red carpet outside the theater, the evening event saw many of "Ember" cast ensemble, such as Harry Treadaway, Saorise Ronan, Bill Murray, Tim Robbins and Martin Landau. While Robbins who stars as Loris Harrow attended the premiere accompanied by his partner Susan Sarandon, Murray who portrays Ember's Mayor Cole, walked down the red carpet with yellow miner's helmet on his head and on his hand.

While still trying to get Stanley Tucci on board the project, filmmakers of "The Lovely Bones" have successfully reached deals with Susan Sarandon to have her in the lineup of the drama, which Oscar-winning filmmaker Peter Jackson is set to direct, Variety has revealed.
A big screen adaptation of Alice Sebold's novel of the same name, pic centers on a murdered teenage girl who continues to watch over her family and killer from heaven. Sarandon is learned to portray the teen's grandmother who comes to live with the family after her murder.

Mos Def and Susan Sarandon, both come from different field of jobs, are teaming up to combat childhood obesity. The rapper and actress have agreed to lend their names as Honorary Co-Chairs to the 4th annual Children's Sports & Fitness Expo, aimed to combat childhood obesity by engaging children in over 25 sports activities and nutrition classes, which will take place on Saturday, September 29th later this year.
Based on the statistic released by the New York City Department of Health, there are at least of New York City school children who either overweight or obese. One by one, roles in "Speed Racer" begin roll out for Hollywood names to take on. Following the inclusion of Emile Hirsch, Susan Sarandon and John Goodman are reportedly engaged in talks to also take part in the project, a live-action feature of the classic 1960s animated series created by Tatsuo Yoshida.
A Warner Bros. Pictures presentation in association with Village Roadshow Pictures of a Silver Pictures production, the flick depicts the adventures of the titular character, young race car driver, and his quest for glory in his thundering, gadget-laden vehicle Mach 5. Two more big names are coming down together to mystery thriller "In the Valley of Elah." The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Susan Sarandon and Jonathan Tucker have both reached agreement to take part in the movie, which is currently is under development at Warner Independent Pictures.
Joining Tommy Lee Jones and Charlize Theron, Sarandon will play the wife of Jones' character, a career soldier looking for his son who has mysteriously gone AWOL after returning from Iraq, while Tucker is billed to portray the missing son.

An adaptation of the Canadian novelist Matt Cohen's novel, "Emotional Arithmetic", has successfully included five celebrated thespians namely Susan Sarandon, Christopher Plummer, Roy Dupuis, Gabriel Byrne, and Max von Sydow in the cast, Production Weekly has revealed.
Sarandon will portray Melanie Lansing Winters, a woman in her 50's who is the wife of David Winters, played by Plummer, whose compulsive infidelity has cost him a tattered marriage and an embittered son (Dupuis).
