Five great talents have come onboard to bring highlight to ensemble drama "Multiple Sarcasms." Variety has reported that Timothy Hutton, Mira Sorvino, Dana Delany, Stockard Channing, and Mario Van Peebles are all set to star together in the $2.5 million project financed by Seattle-area investors.
Set in New York City circa 1979, the flick concerns a man stumbling through a series of midlife missteps who decides to write a play based on his relationships with the women in his life. However, just as the play becomes wildly successful, he unexpectedly finds his real life getting collapsed.

Choosing those for the Outstanding Lead Actor In A Comedy Series category, the organization has picked up names like Steve Carell, Tony Shalhoub, and Charlie Sheen in the list besides placing Kiefer Sutherland, Peter Krause, also Denis Leary together to compete for the title of Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series.
In the female's side, Stockard Channing, Debra Messing, and Lisa Kudrow will be up for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series category while Allison Janney, Kyra Sedgwick, plus Geena Davis have been lined up for that in drama series. As for another in miniseries/ TV-movie category, there has popped up notable names of Gillian Anderson, Kathy Bates, Judy Davis, Helen Mirren, and Annette Bening altogether.
Channing Pleads Not Guilty Over DUI Charges
April 21, 2005 11:04:16Emmy-winning actress Stockard Channing pleaded not guilty Wednesday April 20, 2005, over drunken driving charges stemming from an incident happened late last year on the Hollywood Freeway, because of which she was arrested on December 14 last year after allegedly trying to drive around a roadblock set up so a tow truck could remove a disabled tractor-trailer.
California Highway Patrol Officer, Alex Delgadillo, said Channing's blood-alcohol levels were .12 and .13., whereas the legal limit in California is .08. The actress had actually made the plea involving two misdemeanor counts of drunken driving through her attorney and her next hearing was scheduled for May 26, 2005.
Channing on Drunk Driving Charge
January 26, 2005 10:01:38Actress, Stockard Channing, known for the fictional president's wife role she plays in the U.S. television show The West Wing has been charged for drunk driving in Los Angeles after she was stopped by a C-H-P officer on December 14th for allegedly driving on the shoulder of Highway 101. A C-H-P spokesman reports that Channing blood-alcohol tests were point-12 and point-13 above the legal limit of point-of-eight.
For the charge, Channing was then put in jail for nearly three hours and then released without bail before she is scheduled to appear for an arraignment on 9 February, 2005.
