Robert Rodriguez's 'Machete' Announced Cast Line-Up
August 06, 2009 02:08:41After weeks of speculation, the line of actors joining the cast ensemble of Robert Rodriguez's "Machete" have been revealed. Some big names, including Academy Award-winning actor Robert De Niro, "Awake" actress Jessica Alba and martial art expert Steven Seagal, are among those mentioned in the list, as reported by Variety.
Beside the three stars above, "Machete" will also have "Fast and Furious" actress Michelle Rodriguez. Cheech Marin, who appeared several times in TV series "Lost", Don Johnson, who is famous for his role in 1980s TV cop series "Miami Vice", and Jeff Fahey, who was featured in Bruce Payne's 2007 film "Messages", will join leading man Danny Trejo as well.
Steven Seagal to Star on A and E New Series
November 24, 2008 04:11:53Famous martial actor, Steven Seagal, will return to acting. It has been reported that the action hero actor has signed a deal with A & E network to star in a new reality series revolving his life in law enforcement.
The new series where the 56-year-old actor will star in is entitled "Steven Seagal: Lawman". Featuring Seagal and a team of deputies investigating crimes, it also focuses on Seagal's off-duty ventures, including musical performances and philanthropic efforts in Jefferson Parish and New Orleans. The airdate of Seagal's new series is still to be determined.

Steven Seagal is tough outside, yet light inside. The Hollywood action man, who is well known for his aikido in the big screen movies, is launching a charity which aims to distribute guitars to needy kids.
The initiative reportedly will be administered by Ciro's Pizza Pomodoro. On his new project, the actor commented, "Music is the language of the gods that can bring all people together. What better starting point than learning to play the guitar."

Steven Seagal undergoing music career? Believe it or not he does. What's more, the martial-arts star indeed is very serious about it judging from the band he has, called Thunderbox.
The action movie star has already had a new album in hand, tentatively titled "Mojo Priest". He even has Thunderbox kicking off a three-week headlining tour on June 6, at the Fillmore in San Francisco, in support of the new set.

The movie star reportedly is recording his first album ever, something that is very incompatible with what he's done so far. He says "Blues is my real passion, and I've always wanted to do a blues record. I've had very close relationships with a lot of the great legends, many of whom I got to play with."
