March 23, 2009 10:03:04Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California has become the host of "Monsters vs. Aliens" Los Angeles premiere on Sunday morning, March 22. Celebrating the special screening event, DreamWorks Animation greeted the celebrities with a unique blue carpet and a man-high statue of B.O.B., one of the monsters in the movie.
Reese Witherspoon, Seth Rogen, Hugh Laurie, Will Arnett, Kiefer Sutherland, Rainn Wilson, Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler were among the film's voice talents attending the premiere. Joining them on the blue carpet were producer Lisa Stewart and directors, Rob Letterman and Conrad Vernon.

All receiving the same nods in categories Best Comedic Performance and Best On-Screen Team, these three comedic actors subsequently boosted their own vehicles to rack up a leading five nominations apiece, including Best Movie category in which the films face "Batman Begins", "Sin City", and "King Kong" as their competitors.
Still sticking to its unusual categories, this year's event, however, has made some changes as it no longer distinguishes male and female actors, melding those of Most Desirable Male and Female into more gender-neutral Sexiest Performance also others of Best Actor and Actress into the solo category of Best Performance. Consequently, Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon, who both starred in "Walk the Line", were put up against each other in the latter category. Giving a nomination each to the likes of Cillian Murphy, Dakota Fanning, Paris Hilton, and Nelly, the event will announce the winners on June 3 in Culver City, California to then be aired by June 8 via MTV network while there is still no word on its host yet.

Little Man Cast Joined by More Actors
November 11, 2005 04:11:05Kerry Washington is willing to entertain people that she has signed on to star in the upcoming comedy "Little Man." In the movie she will play opposite Shawn Wayans and Marlon Wayans. They are all joined by Tracy Morgan and John Witherspoon.
"Little Man" is being helmed by Keenen Ivory Wayans from the script written by Wayans brothers. The story will follow a man (Shawn) who is so anxious to become a father that he mistakes a short, baby-faced thief on the run (Marlon) for an abandoned toddler. He and his wife (Washington) take the "baby" into their home and care for him.

October 04, 2005 11:10:59Singing is something new for actors Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon. Though, both movie stars will do their best, singing for the soundtrack to the Johnny Cash biopic "Walk the Line," which is due in store November 15, three days before the movie opens in theaters.
Phoenix and Witherspoon, besides their duet on "It Ain't Me Babe" and "Jackson," have also recorded some of Cash songs separately. Phoenix recoded the like of "Ring of Fire," "I Walk the Line" and "Folsom Prison Blues," while Witherspoon performs solo renditions of "Wildwood Flower" and "Juke Box Blues."
