Online, Shenae Grimes and Dustin Milligan, two cast members of The CW's spin-off series, have come out with denials over the recent death rumor of Brenda, insisting that the iconic character will not have a dead scene on the show.
On December 6 at KIIS-FM's Jingle Ball concert, Shenae Grimes, who plays Annie Wilson, says simply, "They're not killing off her character." Jason Priestley, famous for his portrayal of Brandon Walsh aka the twin brother of Brenda will get his hands on the show. Brenda's depicter, Shannen Doherty, meanwhile, is also making a return.
The twist is, Priestley will not appear in front of the camera but rather will serve as a director. A source told EW that he will helm the 18th episode which will be aired in Spring. In the mean time, Doherty who has appeared in a couple of episodes this season, is "in talks" to have two more episodes later this season.

EW's The Ausiello Files managed to dig up that the 37-year-old actress has reportedly refused to prolong her character's appearance, revealing that she is involved in another project.
"They asked me to do a lot more," she explained, but "I'm in the middle of pitching a show, [so] I couldn't commit to more than [I did]." Tori Spelling Pulls Out of '90210' Spinoff Over Dispute of Payment
August 12, 2008 09:08:26Not getting what she wants has upset Tori Spelling that she decided to pull out of the CW's "Beverly Hills 90210" spin-off. Talks are heating up that her withdrawal from the series is prompted by the fact that she's not getting the equal payment with that of co-stars Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth.
Several sources confirm that Tori pulls out of the series because she receives less payment than her fellow co-stars. Word on the block is that Jennie and Shannen were signed for around $40,000 to $50,000 per episode, whereas Tori only got $10,000 to $20,000 per episode. After finding out about the difference in pay, Tori then demanded a paycheck equal to both actresses.
