Ex-Bond Star Sean Connery to Return to Bond Film as Villain?
March 28, 2008 04:03:18As the 22nd installment of James Bond film "Quantum of Solace" is well in the production, it is revealed that the former James Bond depicter Sean Connery has considered to return to the super-spy film franchise. However, according to press release, the seven time Bond star won't be reprising his notable role, instead he is eyeing to be the bad guy.
The star of "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" expressed his desire stating, "I wouldn't mind coming back as a Bond villain. But I don't think they would pay me enough. They don't pay the money for other parts, only for the Bond character, although that wasn't the case when I was doing it. " Allegedly, the 77-year-old Academy Award-winning actor has been involved in negotiations to land a villain role with the film's producers since Daniel Craig has been tapped to bring the Ian Fleming's agent back to the big screen with "Casino Royale".

Among the notable figures in the entertainment industry make the magazine's list of 50 Most Stylish Men in the Past 50 Years are the Academy Award nominated Italian film actor Marcello Mastroianni, musicians David Bowie and Bob Dylan, and actors Steve McQueen and George Clooney.

The cast list of "Fourth Installment of the Indiana Jones Adventures" is getting longer by now as the project's filmmakers have delightfully added Oscar nominee John Hurt to join the already starry lineup consisting of Harrison Ford, Cate Blanchett, Ray Winstone, and Shia LaBeouf, an official press release stated.
The next installment of the hit adventure franchise after 1989's "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade", the picture marks the return of prominent filmmaker Steven Spielberg to the director's chair with George Lucas once more executive producing alongside Kathleen Kennedy. Shooting is due to begin June 18 this year using several locations globally, including New Haven, Connecticut and Los Angeles.

Up for now, there is still no sign of veteran actor Sean Connery giving his nod to be cast in "Fourth Installment of the Indiana Jones Adventures" yet it appears that his character, Professor Henry Jones, has been submitted into the flick's screenplay instead.
Confirmed the inclusion is the movie's executive producer George Lucas as he received an honor from the San Francisco Film Society on Thursday, May 3.

Though Sean Connery has already claimed to take a retirement from filmmaking, it looks that there is still a chance for moviegoers to see the veteran actor on the big screen again.
Previously confirming to U.K Teletext on the existence of the role of Dr. Henry Jones in "Indiana Jones 4", the Scottish thespian has indicated that he is in consideration to reprise the role, saying "perhaps" upon being asked by Scotland on Sunday on returning in front of the camera for the part.

Soon thereafter he was reported to fire the writer, hired another, then pulled out completely and returned the £2 million advance due to privacy concerns. And to everyone's surprise, he recently announced he would have another shot at another autobiography.

Sean Connery is suing the Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks for $1 million, claiming they have used his name to boost business and failed to pay back money he said he was owed when he ended his membership.
Filed the lawsuit at Los Angeles Superior Court, the actor claimed the country club had used his "worldwide celebrity" to enhance its reputation and thus seeking more than $500,000 for breach of contract and more than $500,000 for "unjust enrichment".

The "Hollywood Reporter" mentioned, Connery will record dialogue and lend his likeness to the game, which will be based on MGM's 1963 film classic, the second of six Bond outings for the thespian and the first bona fide hit in the franchise.
Apart from his retirement for an unofficial remake of "Thunderball," 1983's "Never Say Never Again," Connery told Reporter "As an artist, I see this as another way to explore the creative process. This second memoirs after Connery's previous one is planned to launch in 2007 to coincide with the 50th anniversary of his glittering film career.
It is reported that Davies will write openly all about Connery, including his sex life and wife beating that he always denies. This obviously drives the actor to such fear of losing his public image.

In his court paper Dr. Burton Sultan accuses Connery for causing constant noise, foul fumes, water leaks and a rat infestation resulted by his renovations began in September 2001. Further, Sultan explains that the star's construction has damaged his home interior and collection of Victorian and early 20th-century wicker furniture. For this damage, the doctor has tried repeated pleas to stop, but was ignored by Connery who "cursing and otherwise using indecent language" to Sultan's daughter, Dr. Marla Sultan, before finally slammed the door in her face.
